When I clean them I don't plan to clean them by soaking in water because I would imagine that the bristles might fall out. I've used very expensive brushes and those are great but this is a very nice little set and does the job I want more order more but I would prefer to be able to select just one shape in multiples because I do use them in the salon and don't want to have to constantly clean them these are such a good price I could replace them often and just spray them with witch hazel and clean the few times kind of like buying disposable contacts instead of The type that you wear a longer and have to clean. Synthetic hair is vegan friendly. Animal hair has long been used in making brushes, sable for example.
