I gave this as a gift. I’ve been buying these framed butterflies for years, many of them have come from this same seller. They are all hanging on the wall, in matching identical black frames. Even the ones from other sellers look the same. They each have a hanging hook on the back. However, this was the most expensive one i’ve bought to date, and it is the only one that is framed completely different than the others, and has no hanger on the back. This is a box with a butterfly on a pedestal, and then the glass is taped on, literally with DUCT TAPE. (see attached photo) Because i gave it as a gift i wasn’t home when she opened it, and she mentioned it didn’t have a hanger, so i bought hangers on my way home, just to get home and i see that the frame looks homemade? No way am i paying for this garbage.I feel like i received a complete knock-off product here, and paid at least twice what it sells for elsewhere. (and if i buy it elsewhere it comes with a frame that doesn’t look homemade and matches the other professionally assembled frames, and comes with a hanger)The butterfly itself is amazing, but let's be honest, nature gets the credit for that one.Picture this: She opens it up and was so happy, until she asked how she's supposed to hang it. And then i actually see it myself! Why would i buy gifts from a website? I should have known that you must hold an item in your hands and truly look at it if it's going to be a gift. Bad gift experiences leave a bitter taste in my mouth, when that happens i shop somewhere else.
