Worth the cost
There are a lot of options for over-the-sink dish racks, and this one is one of the most expensive. I wanted to get one that was half, or even a third of the price, but ultimately I decided this one was what I needed and I'm happy with my decision. I can't compare build quality to the cheaper options because I haven't tested them, but this one is plenty sturdy and looks professional. Assembly took maybe 5 minutes and was very straightforward, could have easily done it without instructions.I have a pretty standard width double basin sink. Even so, I found that many other options just wouldn't be wide enough. This one is plenty wide. I'm short (5' 6") and can comfortably use both levels, so the height isn't an issue for me.One of the things I noticed about many other options was that although the rack stands were adjustable in width, the actual baskets were a fixed size, so making it wider or narrower had no impact on the amount of dishes you could fit. With this, there are no baskets. It's a wire rack that is as wide as you make it. This means that I was able to extend it a few inches beyond the edge of the sink for a little extra space. It holds plenty, when I empty the dishwasher onto the drying rack I almost always have plenty of space leftover, and I pack the washer pretty well. One thing to mention is that before this, I had two drying racks, one on each side of the sink taking up all my counter space. I was able to take the silverware racks off of them and pop them right on the side of this like they were meant to go there. Now there's even more space. It's easy to wipe down and keep it looking good. Really, the only thing that could use some improvement is the knife rack. A lot of my longer kitchen knives (ex. chefs, boning and bread knives) stick outward at the bottom. It hasn't been an issue for me, but it just looks like it could potentially be dangerous. Doesn't stop me from recommending the drying rack on the regular occasion that someone sees it and comments on it.

What a difference!
My counter space has been slowly disappearing with each new appliance--microwave, confection oven/air fryer, ice maker, etc. This space-saving rack has helped tremendously. It feels very sturdy. I feel comfortable putting my biggest frying pan on the top rack. There is no sign of wobbling or tipping.I looked at some cheaper ones, but l am glad l went with this one. It was easy to assemble (Just asked my husband, and when l came back, it was assembled. Easy!)I am only 5'3", but l can reach the top rack with mo problems. So happy with it.

Functional, nice-looking product!
I have had the Loyalfire over-the-sink dish rack (in matte black) set up for about two weeks and am so happy I finally pulled the trigger on this purchase!I don’t have a lot of counter space, and my traditional drying rack was taking up space I wanted to put my coffee maker in so I’d have more room for meal prep. However, I was worried an over-the-sink version would make the wall it was against look cluttered and unorganized but I actually think the space looks better filled. It actually brings me a bit of joy just to walk in and see it now. The bottom rack can look a bit of a shambles depending on what I am drying but that’s temporary as I’ll put those things away when they’re dry.The rack itself looks great! I like the way the matte-black finish looks against my cabinets and countertops. It blends with the colors of my kitchen nicely. I don’t like the look of having cup holders and things hanging off of it, so I hung the cup holders over the knife wrack on the bottom tier, am just letting the utensil holder sit in the bottom rack and extended the rack out to 35 inches (measuring the bottom dish rack). This gives the feet enough clearance on either side of my sink, so that I’m not worried about them sitting in unavoidable moisture all the time. So far, I don’t think there is going to be any issue with rust, as there seems to be more airflow than with a traditional countertop rack and everything seems to dry more completely. The rack is light enough that I can scoot it forward over the sink a bit better when I am going to use it for drying purposes and then push it back against the wall otherwise. It would not be a hindrance to leave it pulled forward a bit, though. I just prefer the look of it pushed back when not in use.The rack is also quite sturdy. Like I mentioned before, I have it extended out to 35 inches. It doesn’t rattle around or wobble when I move it. I don’t foresee there being an issue with it being able to be loaded up with dishes. I have dried a relatively heavy electric skillet on it. There is enough clearance between the two tiers to stand a 10 inch skillet up the way you would a standard dinner plate. I would say I have at least twice as much space to leave things out to dry than I used to and it looks a lot more organized!I would have ranked the rack 5 stars if it wasn’t for two issues. The first is that the screw/rail that allows you to expand the rack got stuck the day I set it up. Fortunately, it got stuck in exactly the right spot for me, so I don’t care to put effort into sending it back or waiting for a new part to arrive. That could be a huge issue under other circumstances, though. The second is that the left side of the bottom rack looked a bit crooked (nothing huge as it was still sturdy, but it’s something that would have irritated someone like me on the daily). I saw a review where another customer had used zip ties to bind the “wire” part of the racks together where they meet to resolve the problem. That worked like a charm and the black zip ties I used are not at all noticeable (you’d have to know they are there and get right up on them to notice). The rack arrived when it said it would. The outside of the box was in perfect condition and everything was packaged well. The instructions were kind of vague, but it wasn’t difficult to figure out. I think it took me about 30 minutes . I saw a person or two complaining about the size of the little crescent wrench that was included, but I found it to be the perfect size to hold the nuts in place as I tightened the screws with the hex wrench (use the wrench to hold the nut in place, not twirl it around). It was especially useful during that final tightening of everything.I will update if anything especially disappointing happens, but at this time, this is a product I would purchase again and recommend to others.
