Gorgeous and functional
These are simply beautiful :) So far, I've tried one using flax seeds and plan to use mustard seeds for the other one. The flax seeds certainly don't make a "crunch" sound as peppercorns do (in other grinders)! I did not buy them for salt or pepper as I already have dedicated grinders for those and am trying to incorporate individual grinders for all the other whole seeds I regularly use. Save these stunning devices for dinner events, perhaps on a turntable, filled with whatever seeds and spices you or your guests might like. Based on this limited experience, I'm guessing that these grinders will not render a coarse end-product, and therefore be best used for things one desires in a finer grade, e.g., flax, mustard, celery seeds.They also have that handy end cap, which can function to collect the grindings, and it makes these grinders able to stand on either end, look beautiful, and not "leak" :) I think they'd make a FABULOUS gift, accompanied with bags of (organic) flax (grind on nearly everything, since it barely has a taste but is loaded w/nutrients), and mustard seeds (which do have a taste -- great on veggies -- and are also nutrient-dense).Needless to say, I'm very pleased with this product and the company!

Almost perfect
I love these but there was an imperfection in the glass of one of them. I try to turn it so no one can see it but I wish I didn't have to plus you can feel the raised glass. They work great- are beautiful and my style. They also grind the salt and pepper perfect!

easy to fill
These grinders are attractive, easy to fill, and work very well. I have Pink Himalyan salt in one and a peppercorn blend in the other. They arrived as scheduled and in perfect condition.
