Great durability, lay sideways under airplane seat
Overall, this product is fabulous! We have owned 3 carriers for nearly 5 years now. Although not heavily used, they are found to be durable (zippers/mesh included), fairly easy to clean, and store well in a compact space. The only true "downside" is that although these carriers are airline approved for size, the carrier needs to be turned on it's long side to fit completely under the seat as instructed by the airline. Our elderly cats were, I'm sure, not to happy about the side turn (bedding included) but we made it work. Our cats completed their trip well.
