Very Durable
These are not the cheap stamped steel versions. These are very well built and sturdy. Purchased to use with our outdoor fireplace on the patio. Comes with a strongly built stand holder that looks very good also. Recommended if you want something that will last.

Wanted to dislike this set because of price, but ending up loving it
I thought this was way over priced but I think highly of the Plow and Hearth brand so I bought it. Love this set now. It’s compact and small footprint, which is nice. The tools are all one piece of incredibly sturdy metal that is lighter than most metals used in fireplace tools. I’ve had other sets where the tops of the tools screw on and they always come loose. Assembly is super easy with just two steps. Nice, shiny, black finish that holds up to use. I can now say this was worth the extra cost. Best set of fireplace tools I’ve owned.

Not Forged Iron
Some of these reviews are flat out wrong, praising the "forged steel construction". These are 100% stamped steel, not solid forged iron or steel. Made in China. Every piece is hollow in the center and welded together. The brush is made with plastic nylon. The description makes you think you're getting something super tough, but it's welded stamped steel. It's probably fine and will last a good while, just know what you're buying here.

These were for our son.
They were just what my son needed for his stove.

Not as described on the website.
These tools are not hand-forged. They are cheaply made (in China). The shovel is less than 1/2-inch deep so it won't hold many ashes. The broom came damaged with its plastic bristles all bent and twisted. The broom was not damaged in transit -- it was already damaged when they packaged it for shipment. I returned it to Plow & Hearth immediately. I suspect the veracity of many of the other reviews of this product.
