Worcester Christmas Wreath 18-Feet Balsam Christmas Garland

I was hesitant to order this, but all the great reviews prompted me to give it a chance. It arrived promptly, but it was already drying out in the middle and yellowing. The instructions were for a tree or centerpiece, not the garland. It shed so much the first week I was vacuuming constantly. The shedding slowed somewhat, but it's still a bit of a pain. I've been misting it as suggested by other reviewers, but I worry it won't make it for Christmas.

I've always had this vision that one day I would have real evergreens lining the staircase and that the house, when entered, would smell like the best part of the forest. This was the year I found the gorgeous and affordable option of the Worcester Christmas Wreath Garland.When I've shopped for this item before it was always at local garden spots, i.e., never on line. The garlands I saw were always either too expensive, or to bare and thin.It was by accident that I ran across the Worcester Garland on Amazon. Has it already had several good reviews and was reasonably priced, I had to try it. However, I kept reminding myself prior to it's arrival "you get what you pay for" so I really was not expecting much.I was thrilled to find that this garland was as gorgeous as the marketer's photo. I had originally expected that the photo was a garland doubled up; it is not. And there were clear instructions on how to care for the garland, how to keep the boughs fragrant. Follow those instructions and you will love this product. The needles do not drop any more than any cut Christmas tree. There were some needles in the bottom of the box when it arrived but no more that I would expect from shipping a product of this type. And any needle loss certainly did not effect the garland's fullness or beauty.Right now the garland has been up about 3 weeks and still looks and smells great. I will likely leave it up a bit longer than the rest of the decorations just because I am enjoying it so much.

This arrived in great condition, I have sprayed it daily as recommended, it is not exposed to heater vents, and there are no lights on it. One-half of it is noticeably drying/browning after only 2-1/2 weeks.

I couldn't be happier with this wonderful garland!! We bought a beautiful Greek Revival home built in 1854. I had always dreamed of having live, thick garland on my staircase banister if I ever got to own a historic home. I was so excited to find this on Amazon! I was skeptical about ordering live garland online, but decided to give it a try. They were everything that was promised! They were thick and green and smelled incredible! They were packaged perfectly also. They must spray them down with a lot of water before they ship them. They are also covered in plastic to keep the moisture in. I followed their instructions to the letter and sprayed them with water daily. They stayed green from the first week in December until I took them down on Jan. 2nd. They were quite dry by then (which is to be expected after nearly a month), but they were still green. I got so many compliments this past Christmas! I will definitely be back next year…and the year after that….and the year after that!

How to rate this product is a "Huge Question Mark". If you think you are purchasing Fake Garland....you are sadly mistaken and you get one star...If you think you are purchasing real garland...great quality ...you get 5 stars. I just wish the seller would disclose whether this is "real or fake". We bought several hundred feet after the Christmas in hopes picking up a sweet deal after Christmas and using it next year.....NOT!!!.....lol

I buy garlalnds every year and mostly don't care if they're not up to expectations, as I take them apart and use the boughs to decorate around the house. This one is so good, I'll use it just the way it arrived. It's full, beautiful and very fresh. It must have been misted before it was sent because it came out of the box damp, but smelling great!My suggestion would be to open it outside, or in my case, on a painter's plastic drop cloth. It will shed some (I've never purchased a balsam garland that didn't shed.), and as I mentioned it's a bit damp on arrival. Having said that, I'll be buying this one every year it's available. I've paid much more money in the past on other websites and received garlands of much lower quality. Hats off to Amazon for offering this one at a decent price!Update for Christmas 2011: Ditto!Update for Christmas 2012: Just got my garland for this year. Love these things. It's like opening a box of "Instant Christmas".

My wreath and garland arrived promptly, but were very dry and shedding needles which also compromised the wonderful pine smell. I was not happy.

I was more than a little surprised to open the box to the smell of fresh balsam. I thought I was ordering an artificial garland and was disappointed at first. Once I took this out of the box I was amazed at the fullness of the garland along with the fragrance. One note, I would recommend 2 people to hang it because it is incredibly heavy to handle especially if draping.
