They took forever to get to maximum brightness, and sometimes/always I just got impatient and really didn't want to wait a couple minutes to be able to see what I was doing. These bulbs turn on right away, which is an extremely nice change. I first bought a box of the 3000k, based on other reviews, thinking it would be a nice "neutral" color. However, I guess I had gotten too used to the 5000k CFL color that had been in there because the 3000k looked extremely orange to me and I didn't like it. So then I ordered a box of the 4000k and it's *very slightly* warmer than the 5000k CFL (photo attached of comparison of the 3) and I liked it much better.I would like to note the 4000k is not really a very flattering light. It is bright and white and very honest. I never feel fantastic looking at myself in their harsh glow, but I do think this light provides a much more accurate light for applying make up and making sure you're not missing anything. However, in something like a guest bathroom or powder room - if you want to be kind to your guests I would get the 3000k. Everyone looks better in that light I'm pretty sure. I plan on using the 3000k bulbs from my original order in our guest bathroom for this reason. If you currently have a "warm" colored bulb in your room it definitely will take some getting used to if you go for the 4000k. I do wish they had a 3500k light, but I'm just really particular about lighting.We do not have these on a dimmer (yet!) so I can't speak to that attribute, but they work in our old 80's light fixture just fine with no issues turning on or with any buzzing noises. Overall, there doesn't seem to be any issues as of now and there's no weird green-ish tint that I saw from several LED type of bulbs from the local hardware stores so I'm happy enough to keep them and see how long they last. Will update if anything changes! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything looks so much crisper :) I bought 60 of these! *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2016* Update 4/23:So just installed the last batch I ordered. That bring the total to 60 bulbs I replaced in the house, converting from CFL to led. Scary how many bulbs can go in to just one vanity! Either way it was a great investment for me. Look better, turn on instantly like a real bulb and just maybe will last a million years like CFL tried to claim even though I was replacing bad bulbs all the time! Also as said before I have dimmers just about everywhere and NONE of these bulbs are buzzing at any level. In fact some of the CFL's were buzzing and now that problem has been solved. So for me at least no issues in the buzzing department.Also for those with recessed lights which we also have, I replaced 40 of those with the Hyperikon 5/6" led's that will slide in to the can. They are also awesome, also no buzzing, and now that every light in the our house is at 4000k and an led this project is done! :)---------------------------------------------------------------------I bought a pack of these to replace some 2700k CFL's above our kitchen table. Really like the crisp white color these put out at 4000k. They simulate 60w traditional bulbs. Needed three for the kitchen fixture and combined they are nice and bright.And because they are leds they are instant on, no warming up like those silly CFLs and at 4000k there is no yellow and no blue tint, these really are pure white which I like.Just ordered 50 more the replace other old bulbs and CFL's throughout the house. Can't wait to see how it looks once they are in place. We already did all of our can recessed fixtures at 4000k so this will complete our light upgrade/investment.Also wanted to say we have these on dimmers and there is no buzzing. I know sometimes that can be an issue for folks. We have Insteon dimmers throughout the house. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I like these LED bulbs *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2018* Since 1/2017 I’ve purchased and installed over 25 Hyperikon bulbs. I’ve installed them in lamps, ceilings, indoors, and covered outdoors. I even installed some in my garage door opener which for years ate regular and garage door opener bulbs (due to the opener vibration).So far I’ve only had one bulb failure (one installed in a lamp), which Hyperikon quickly and easily replaced for me (they simply verified my Amazon purchase and shipped me the replacement bulb).These days there are lots of companies to choose from when purchasing LED bulbs. If you scan the Web you may be able to figure out where the company is based and they may identify their technical specs and warranty. Hyperikon is based in the USA, identifies how much power the bulbs use, the equivalent brightness and color of the light, and have a 5 year warranty that they honored for me. They also tend to have a good color range selection for each of their bulbs (I like 4000K for the Kitchen and Family Room, and something warmer like 2700K for the lights on my deck).
