Tola-Edison Bulb LED Filament Bulb, 4w to Replace 40w Incandescent Bulb, 85-265v E26, not Dimmable

I first purchased this bulb rather than the leading one on Amazon because it was a little bit cheaper and I thought I'd give this guy a chance. The supplemented but "unbiased" reviews led me to think it'd be great. Maybe I just got a bad one?The light color this puts out is not very nice. If you're looking for a warm-toned light like that which real incandescents give off, this isn't it. It's extremely yellow. Sort of disgusting. But that's not a fault; it's stated in the description. Just stating this in case others are unfamiliar with light temps in Kelvin and find photos to be confusing/misleading.The real reason I don't like this is the high-pitched buzzing noise it gives off. I don't have dimmers or anything that should cause this. I know for a fact it was a fault with this bulb because I tried other Edison-style LEDs after returning this one and none of them did that.Also know that a 40-Watt equivalent is very bright (not a problem, just a fact). Not enough to light a whole room, but not dim enough that you can comfortably look at the bulb like you can in a restaurant (those are on dimmers, certainly).Anyway, two stars. The design looks nice but poor functionality or quality control.

The bulb has a great color and when on you cant really tell that it is an LED bulb at all. One hug annoyance is that it has a constant ringing sound that comes from the bulb. I bought this for a lamp in my office and wanted to leave it on all the time because of how little electricity this bulb uses. The constant ringing is just so irritating. Again, The bulb looks great, so if this is being used in a high traffic area that is relatively noisy this may work as the surrounding noise would probably mask the ringing.

Some folks complained about the color but the orangish cast light works well for an old style yard fixture we have. Love the color though it might not work in all places. I purchased another similar bulb at home depot for our porch light and it casts a very bright white light. I'll have to change it as it conflicts with the warmth of this one and already have white flood lights if I need that. It doesn't really look like an Edison-style bulb power off as you can see but when it's on, it's fairly convincing. To me anyway.

Nice looking bulb. Be aware, mine at least, has a very yellow tint, much more so than any typical incandescent bulb, closer to yellow "bug lite" bulbs.

Beautiful light, lovely thin glass envelope, and no strobing optical effect. No noticible RFI noise at VHF. In a very silent room, a quiet whine from the circuitry is barely audible to the ear, but only from ~1 foot or closer - and it would not be noticeable under normal usage.

Bulbs made a high pitch whine. Returned them.

Satisfied with my purchase. A bit brighter than I'd hoped/imagined, but that's just a personal preference. Arrived unharmed and on time.
