I really liked it and the design was indeed exactly as pictured (not sure what happened to the first reviewer's cup), but flimsily packaged internally; it came in just a small, thin cardboard box that wasn't even taped shut to keep the contents from spilling out during shipment inside the much bigger box it came in (Amazon's shipping algorithm was also disastrous in this case as it came shipped in a gigantic container with tons of wiggle room next to a giant 54 oz jar of coconut oil--btw, whoever mandates that the warehouse workers throw in a handful of completely ineffective bubble wrap inside the egregiously too large shipping box, what is the assessment process to determine that was necessary but two smaller boxes are not?).Consequently, when it got here, the cup itself had a large chip missing from it on the lip that was tinkling about inside various parts of the packaging. I had to return it, but I'm ordering a new one (by itself this time) in hopes this one makes it intact, because it really is a super adorable cup.In terms of what I could see of the quality of the pieces matching (ignoring the large missing chunk), it was decent, the lid fit reasonably well, although not a perfect fit, and the sauce holds the cup with a little bit of wiggle, neither perfectly balanced or horrendous, what I'd expect for the price.

I received this gaiwan today and it was adorable, just as pictured, with the beautiful green glaze and dark edge trim and swirl design and koi on the tea cup lid. (I think the other reviewer thought there would be a fish on the saucer based on the pictures, but I think the photos were showing a koi on the lid not the saucer so I was not disappointed.) I am giving this 4 instead of five stars because it arrived with the saucer cracked in many pieces so I have to return and replace it. I just hope it will not break easily in use because it is so cute!

I read the reviews before I purchased. What I received was exactly what I thought I would. I knew the teacups would be a bit on the small side which was okay with me as they were very attractive.

Nice looking, but much smaller than it appears and the lid does not sit flush on the cup.

I was so disappointed when I got these because the picture is NOT representative of what the actual product is. The ones I got had no second fish on the bottom saucer, and there was no swirl design, they were just flat green, and the top rim of the lid handle did not have the brown edge. I hate when companies on Amazon misrepresent their products with fake pictures.Also, the lids fit pretty bad, like they're a little oval, leaves some gaps.

Item was just as described. This will be the perfect size to steep my tea Eastern style at work.

This cup is simply perfect, easy to balance and drink from.
