This is the story of the Mothman original encounters from an author who grew up in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. While the author did not personally encounter the Mothman, he did live in the area when the sightings occurred. He gives some history of the area and the stories of several people who encountered the creature. While this is a straight forward story of the events, the author's personal insights about the area help to bring insight to the story. He also features tips for visiting the area, special locales, festivals and the museum, along with some links to visit. Author Dudding presents straight forward works for the general reader to come to their own conclusions. He encourages exploration, with some sound advice that should be heeded if you would like to visit. An enjoyable read with tips from a local.
