Is intensive care and Critical care the same thing? Thanks

Intensive care and Critical care are both recovery foods, however there is a difference. The Critical Care often refers to Oxbow Critical Care Herbivore or Fine Grind, these are plant based foods designed to be fed as a liquid or slurry over a number of days or weeks to assist ill animals to recover. This Intensive Care product ("IC") is similar in it's use but is much higher in sugar content. It provides a lot more energy so is good for a boost but best for short term use only, especially in degus or chinchillas that have sugar intolerance. The Emeraid "Sustain" variety is like the Oxbow Critical Care, better for longer term use. Other similar products to Oxbow Critical Care are Supreme Science Selective recovery and Excel DualCare.

Once the packet is open how long can it be kept in the fridge

I opened the packet and emptied it into a small jar, I do not refrigerate and it has kept fine. They have an expiry date but still usable beyond the expiry date. Although on the packaging it says keep refrigerated after opening and can be used 6 months after opening.
