Icons of Style: Cult Sneakers

There are better Sneaker Books out there. This book is pretty basic and it covers a couple of topics but the meat and potatoes it doesn’t really cover. This book is okay, but if you want some substance and real insight about the Sneaker culture of the past, present and future, I would suggest “1000 Sneakers”, “Sneakers: The Complete Limited Edition Guide” and “Sneakers: The Complete Collection Guide”. I understand that this book is a pretty good price right now and you’d wanna pick it up, but please, believe me when I tell you there are better Books out there. Oh and I can’t forget the newest of my collection “Sneakers” which just came out October 2017, check it out.

Nice coffee table book for those who have a passing interest in sneakers but nothing heavy or substantial.For each shoe the authors have identified, they give a brief (think 3-5 paragraphs) background of the shoe and the year of release along side the photographs of the shoe and perhaps associated context material such an adverts or picture of people who may be associated with a particular shoe (ie a photo of RunDMC leading into the pages detailing the adidas Superstar)As a footnote identifying the shoes that you may have worn/lusted after then it's fine. For anyone wanting a richer history for their beloved shoes then this isn't it.

Being a lover of trainers I had to add this book to my trainers book collection and I was very pleasantly surprised. It's not a big or thick book but the layout is nice and simple. Starting from the 70's it chooses the iconic styles and writes a smallish piece of info about it, right upto the modern day. If you love your trainers you'll love this.

Good source of information for any sneaker oerson

There is a multitude of excellent sneaker books out there, and I only bought this because I think I've got the rest of them. Shouldn't have bothered.
