Been looking for a durable, effective doormat for a while. Waterhog mats seem to be far superior than others.Easy to vacuum up debris, the surrounding area is very clean. Here in Alaska (harsh, wet winters) a sturdy door mat is essential. If a mat is good here, will do well anywhere.The backing if this mat is rubberized and keeps the mat sturdily in place on the floor. These are well designed. You will not go wrong. Go for the larger size-it is ample and perfect. Subtle & discreet, they are excellent mats.NOte: There is something really interesting about the design of these mats. They trap dirt & debris on the mat; does not go on your floor. Requires a high powered vacuum cleaner sometimes to get off all the dirt-it is so effectively trapped.

I got this on Amazon - it's just a door mat, but it does seem to be very sturdy and I think will last a long time. Does not shed. Water absorption seems good, but I have not fully tested that.

They ought to call this rug the “Mudhog.” I put it in front of our dog door and it’s busy soaking up mud from my dog’s paws. Seems very sturdy and absorbent.

Really like these floor mats. We purchased them four our education building to place on tiled floor for people to wipe their feet as they come in the building and to ensure wet feet didn't leave puddles at the front door that people could slip on. It works perfect and gives plenty of traction.

Serves its purpose

This item is exactly what I was looking for. It has a low profile and a subtle color so it does its job of collecting water without making too big of a splash.

I have one at my back door in the kitchen and in my garage. It really prevents dirt and water from tracking into my garage and house. Love these!!
