I like these hooks but the reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because they are more flimsy than I thought they should be. Had to use 4 to make 2 so that they were tall enough. They were a little short I thought.

Cheap and good enough to last
Had them up for about 8 months stakes bend semi easy but as long as you find a spot with no rocks in the ground they're fine. And even then they're sturdy enough to not outright break just get bent up.Great value for the price

Poor quality
I knew they would be small, but they are to thin and cheap that they don't hold up my mini mason jars. Also, because they come in pieces you have to screw them togeter. Now this is kinda cool becuase you can make them vary in height, however the thread channels are so poorly done that they don't screw together straight and some don't work at all. Also, make sure you wet the ground thoroughly if you live in a place like me, AZ, because they are so flimsy that you can't push them into the ground without them bending and one even just snapped. Buyer beware!

Practical hooks for hanging lights
It's all much better than I expected.I bought outdoor string lights that were a lot heavier than I thought, and these hooks hold them well.I think they can withstand heavy rain, even under the weight of the lights.I'm so pleased with them that I plan to order more so that I can string the lights on either side of the yard.Very sturdy.So when I water my flowers (in the hanging basket), the shepherd hooks don't fall (like all my others), it's not!I am very happy, and the price is also very cheap!

Not for heavy weight
Love that they're adjustable but certainly not very sturdy. Great for lighter weight things.

Flag poles are not steady
They are screwed together in sections. They are not steady. You have to keep tightening the sections at the screwed in segments. They hold for a few minutes but as soon as you carry the poles and place them sections loosen up.My advice is to purchase full stakes not screw in sections.
