FlexonEyeglasses 606 218 Coffee 54MM

I am retired US Navy and thought the Navy Exchange Optical Store price on these same frames were way too high, this is why I searched Amazon. I got the exact same frames for many $$$ less. The only thing I did not receive was a lens cleaning cloth that was promised. However, the frames, delivery, and communication were very impressive. Changing the lens out was as easy as pie; I used a sewing needle to wedge out the thin retaining nylon cord holding lens in place and gently stretched the line on the new frames back around old lens. Worked perfectly.

My 3rd Flexon frame. Loved the past frames. these fit to close to my eyebrows, so constantly cleaning my Varilux lens. After 4 months the finish is coming off of both arms. Frames are already overpriced, but I expect the frame to hold up for a few years. Thankfully I am still under warranty, but have not called Flexon or the local optical shop yet. Wondering if Gunmetal color would hold up better then Coffee? Make sure you get 1 year warranty in writing, plus proof that frame is not a knock-off.
