Firstly, the 9v battery case shown in the photos wasn't in the box. Since there was an AC adapter included, that wasn't a huge deal, but while still getting things set up, the thin metal tab that the alligator clip attaches to snapped off the shaker bottle. I was able to replace it with a piece of foil, and the unit actually worked fairly well for a little while.Unfortunately, though, the problems didn't end there. The switch kept getting jammed, and since the top of the case is electrified, it was hard to get a good enough grip to force it to off without unplugging the unit first. Finally, after maybe half an hour of total use, it started arcing internally, even with the shaker unplugged. It would make a distinct crackling noise, smelled like ozone, and you could actually see a faint glow from sparks jumping between the two banana plugs through the front panel. At that point I decided I'd finally had enough, returned it, and built my own out of a cheap negative ion generator module. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Worked 6 times then died *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2021* Did about 6 sheets of tufts and then the plate stopped working.
