Toyota Navigation SD Card Newest MAP 2020 86271-0E072

Installation couldn't have been easier (2017 Toyota Avalon). Turned off car, removed original micro SD card (I needed a small screwdriver to pry open the map data cover, it opens like a book with the hinged side on the left). Removed old card, inserted new card, and restarted car. The screen recognized that new softward was available and instructed me to turn the car off and then back on to start installation. The software loaded in less than 10 minutes with a progress bar to let you know the progress. Once installed everything worked normally.My only compalint, if you can call it that, is that the maps are dated 04-2019 making them a year and a half old. This may be the newest update, I don't know, but it's three years newer than the original maps.Installation requires no special skills or tool and seems to be a lot less money than taking it to the dealer, and a lot easier.

Tried to update a 2016 Highlander. After installing the SD card and following the onscreen instructions, it says that it found a new update. Great. So far so good. Starts to install but after a few minutes an error message saying that the SD card is compatible. I tried waiting for 10-15 minutes but it never updated. Not so great. Not so good. Fortunately nothing got screwed up and after replacing the old SD Card everything went back to normal after a minute or two.

First off, you will probably not receive an OEM SD card. That said; I followed the instructions ( I didn't Google first, You should.) I put the card in my SD slot and started the car. The system saw the update and started the process. While this was going on, my map and system worked, but the colors were all messed up and some things were missing. Note, just leave it to do its thing. It will eventually (say 5-8 minutes) show a message on the screen that says update ready. Turn off the car restart and it should ask about installing the update ( you can also do this from the settings menu). Say yes and let it do its thing again. When all was done, my display was back to normal and all my functionality returned. I did a quick test the next day and everything worked well. Not sure how much I gained, but this map is 4-5 years newer for cheap money.

Micro SD card was as advertised and identical to the 2015 original. Installation couldn't be easier. With engine and power off, open access to Micro card housing (This varies from one vehicle to the next) For my 1015 Prius C it located just to the right of the bottom corner of the Navigation screen. Remove the card in slot. (Push in first and it will release, then pull it out) Put the new card in it's place.Start the car. Turn on the Navigation system. It immediately recognized and started downloading the new software.It was all done in minutes. Later the next time I started the car,iit downloaded an update, also done quickly .Iv'e run it through testing a couple of times an it operates as expected. The date on the Card is dated April, 2019. Not 2020 but it works for me for a lot less money. I'll do an update later if problems arise but I don't anticipate any.

Follow the instructions. At first I got a message say it was not compatible. But I shut off the car, restarted it, then followed the directions again and it updated without issues. You'll need the car to run for about 10 minutes while it is updating.It looks like Toyota packaging. I also got a keychain and two clear plastic disks (like thick film). I am not sure what they are for.

Bought my 2016 Toyota Highlander “previously owned” and was happy to see it contained a navigation system. However, I didn’t know there wasn’t any software loaded. Happened to discover what I needed for it to be operational (which is how I realized there was no software loaded), and found this site. Ordered the proper version of the s/w; it arrived when promised in pristine shape. The s/w took about 5 minutes to load: load the s/w; press the engine start button (WITHOUT your foot on the brake — don’t start the engine); follow the prompts on the screen and start the engine. Wait about 5 minutes for the s/w to load. Then hit the “restart” prompt on the screen and voila! You’re finished. Easy. Haven’t taken a trip yet; will do in the next few days. I recommend this product.

This map is old, April 2019, not the newest. You are better off buying the cheaper ones online. DON'T WASTE Your money!!!

This item didn't work for my 2017 Highlander. The SD card was detected and it went through the software update successfully but it couldn't read the map data and displayed "Unable to read map SD data. Check the map SD. If necessary, consult your dealer."
