The lid rocks a lot, so it doesn't prevent the liquid to splash/spill while you're pressing. But the really bad thing is that the glass was cracked, which I discovered during the first use, it was very disappointing. I am returning this otherwise cute coffee press and getting a metallic one.

This little fellow is as good as it gets for the price and for its purpose. It makes 8oz mug which is enough for one go of coffee. Easy to clean, made of decent material. Good for travels and such. Don't expect it to withstand falls or children with hammers, but besides that, it's just great for the price.

Item arrived damaged and unusable. Tried to contact seller with no response after a week. Cannot recommend.

You know the saying " you get what you paid for " ? Well I overpaid . ( In my opinion )This press is very cheaply made and I am afraid to use it , but I will keep it as a spare .The top round handle is not screwed on , it sits on the top like hat .The lid is lot smaller than it should be . ( it wiggles a lot when you press on plunger )The bottom part of plunger ( the part with the filter ) is little crooked and it gets stuck on the way downand it lets some of the ground coffee pass to the top . I tried straightening it up with not much success .When I pulled the glass portion off the plastic to wash it I noticed 2 wavy scratches on the glass in the shape of the plasticframe . It still makes coffee and I'll use it until my more expensive one arrives , and then I'll save it as a spare . ( I hope I get what I paid for )

So, a cup of coffee is considered 4oz? I drink one mug of coffee a day, so I'm far from a coffee aficionado, so I don't get this. I guess if you mean a cup as the vessel used to hold the coffee rather than as a measurement it works, but I digress. This little press does work well, even when using finer ground coffee.If you are a big coffee drinker, and consume more than 12oz of coffee in a sitting, have more than one coffee drinker living in your space, or don't want to repeat the pressing process with each mug of coffee you want, you should find another press. Otherwise, it is a great product, and I t does produce a great tasting cup of coffee without the worries that some of us germaphobes have with coffee machines and their cleanliness. Plus, I've yet to find a home coffee maker machine that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that produces as good of a cup of coffee as at a restaurant.I think the only thing I'm not enjoying about this is that it is very slender, and I find it is difficult to get my hand in to get the grounds out since I try not put them down my drain. I have slender hands, so I was a bit surprised it proved to be a bit of a struggle. Just wanted to state this as a bit of a drawback, IMO.

Does its job, but even after looking at size, it is smaller than I expected. If you use larger mugs, it's barely a full cup

I look forward to waking up, just to use this Bru Joy. Might sound silly, but you would be surprised how awesome a cup of coffee tastes when you hand grind it, then use this beautiful french press to brew it all yourself. Will never use a coffee maker again!

If I could give it no stars I would I received this today in the mail and put tue coffee in the out hot water in and the thing cracked. The glass is thin and the water wasn't even that hot. Garbage do not buy!
