Mars

For the longest time, I always felt that Mars could have been great, but it's ruined by a tact on last track (Kono Daremo Inai Heya de). It unfortunately hurts the album, because some of these tracks are amazing. Emu for My Dear is one of the most gorgeous songs I've ever heard. Woefully not one of his best. It was fun buying this CD to listen to some of GACKT's first works as a solo artist. Plenty of fun songs, "Mars" has a lot of different sounds while sticking to the rock genre. A great album and any GACKT fan should get a copy of their own.

Everything this super talented Japanese pop star touches turns to gold. This album is no exception! If you're looking for great music from an artist with a library of CDs which all sound different from disc to disc, then Gackt is for you! He also has a couple of video discs which really don't need translating for the images to reach out and grab you. From all accounts, he's also an all around nice guy, too. What more can you ask for?

As I already said...I don't know Japanese, but this is a really good song even though I don't know what he's singing about.5. Vanilla(Mars Ver.)-5 So funny, and one of my favorites. I love this song! It may be a little dirty, but it's awesome! I love how he tries to put English in it. He's so cute when he tries to sing in English! ^_~6. Freesia -Op. 1--4 Cool! Not as good as some of his others, but it is very powerful! I love it!7. Freesia -Op. 2--4 Also cool! It is really awesome!8. Illness Illusion-4 1/2 I love it! It just has an AMAZING sound...not to mention a really cool title! ^_^9. Mirror-5 One of my favorites! I had heard part of this song before I had bought the CD, and I loved it then as well! It's amazing! ^_^10. Dears-5 I love this song! It goes out to his fans (like me...^_^)! Anyways, as I've previously mentioned...I don't speak Japanese, but that doesn't matter. I know it's to his fans a.k.a. "Dears", and I can tell he has some real feeling in it, so that's all that matters. It's a really great song!11. Oasis (Mars Ver.)-5 Yet another one of my favorites! I had also heard this song before buying this CD, and I loved it! The video is quite odd, but I still love it and the song! ^_^12. Konodaremoinaiheyade-4 1/2 Another amazing song! I have no idea what the title means, but it raps up the CD beautifully! It's yet another one of Gackt's amazing pieces!Ok...there you have it! Gackt is amazing! If you don't believe me...why don't you just go and buy it? Gackt's Mars CD is so amazing! I just can't stress that enough! If you like Jrock/pop then you should get this, and add it to your collection. And...of course, if your a Gackt fan...then it goes without saying...you HAVE to buy this! Mars was gackt's debut ablum after leaving the visual kei band Malice Mizer. This is truly his best album to date. Not only is the range in his vocals and melodic styles outstanding, this is the album that has some of his most beloved and bold singles.For example: "Vanilla" is an extremely daring song lyrically. The big band sound takes away from the "in your face" sexual context of the song and makes it a fan favorite (what Dear doesn't love Vanilla?). In contrast to this are "Freesia~ Op 1 and 2". These two songs are, in my opinion, powerfull melodies ballads (even though they are short in length and Op.2 has no lyrics). These twi songs showcase Gackt's outstanding abillity as a composer.This is a must have album for any Gackt fan!

Nach dem rockigen Abgesang begrüssen einen nun wabernde Synthieflächen und ein stammelnder Gackt zu Beginn, dann der Einsatz des Basses und der Gitarren.. und der Stimme ..auch ein Gackt-Klassiker ! E-Gitarren Geschrammel, irgendwelche verqueren Vocoder/Synthi Klänge und Akkordeon zugleich... Gacktistisch eben. Punkt.9:Mirror: Nya Nya !!! Wiedermal Rockig und gut, schöner Chorus bei dem sich wiedermal Gackts Stimme hervorhebt. das gute Gegenmittel zur vorherigen Illusion.. Rock on Gackt ! Einer meiner Favoriten auf der CD. Klassiker.10: Dears. Wohl seinen Fans, den Dears gewidmet. Akustikgitarren Strumming und Geigenmelodie setzen ein und dann Gackts Stimme, die auch diesen fröhlichen Song dominiert, Aufbruchsstimmung und Melancholie gemischt mit Power und Drive... er will wieder zum Himmel hinaus... Steigert sich zu nem flotten Rocksong... Prima, und You's Geige leitet immer wieder schön über zu Gackts warmer Stimme... zwischendrin zwitschern paar Vögelchen .. jaja der Himmel ruft ^^11: Oasis: Synthigeblubber am Anfang leitet diesen vom Beat geprägten Song ein.. Sehr eingängig und bunt wie ich finde. Gackts Stimme überragt wiedermal alles, aber E-Gitarren und Synthie vermittlen ein elektronisches Feeling.. Power, Drive und Schmackes in Gackts Stimme.. Klassiker, ganz klar.Allein schon weil Gackt im Musikvideo einen Kartoffelsack trägt XDDD12: Kono Daremo Inai Heya De.Akustik-Gitarren-Picking und Flöten leitet diese epische Ballade ein bevor E-Gitarren, Bass und Drums einsetzen.. Sehr schöner Abschluss der CD, gesteigert von einem Kinderchor.. Typische Gackt-Ballade im Stil von December Love Song. Gacktos. warme, aber kraftvolle Stime dominiert natürlich auch diesen Song...Wer eine aussergewöhnliche Stimme sucht ist hier goldrichtig...Tolle Musik und Mördergesang, da vergisst man gerne die deutsche Musiklandschaft, die hier einfach gesanglich niemals rankommt.Wem diese CD gefällt (und DAS fällt nun wirklich leicht ^^), dem seien auch Gacktos weitere CDs empfohlen: Rebirth, Moon, Crescent, Diabolos.2008 erscheint zudem sein neues Album, auf dem Gerüchten zufolge Englisch gesungen wird ..Anhören, staunen und abgackten ! :-D

Some may be upset, the bag is, as was said tattered. The important thing was and is, the cd works great, the art book is still there. This is wonderful and I am completely happy!

やっぱり初期のガクトの曲の方が良い‼️

コンサートでよく歌う「Ｕ+Ｋ」の曲が欲しくて買いました。今のGACKTさんのパワーある男らしい歌い方や曲も好きですが、1枚目のアルバムだけあって、声も歌詞も若くて繊細で、なんといっても鼻にかかった高音の声がとってもセクシーですごい好きです。　曲の内容も、まだ自分に自信の無い繊細な若者の気持ちが感じられ、良いです。
