Great Notification Watch
I was looking for a watch that simply did notifications of incoming calls, texts, etc. I tried a few other budget smart watches that didn't fit the bill for one reason or another. I have really liked this one. Pros: - great battery life: I don't have the heart rate monitor on and I am over a week on a single charge - make your own watch face: This was a big deal for me. I quickly became bored with the pre-set watch faces included with other budget watches. Being able to make any watch face is awesome - allows all notifications on your phone to the watch: some other budget smart watches only allowed certain apps - automatic DND: When turned on, watch senses when you are sleeping and does not send notifications - Pre-set cancellation of wrist raise to turn on - you can set hours when the watch will only turn on if you touch it. Great for sleeping at night - Alexa built in - cool to use the watch to turn on lights, thermostat, etc - app: Wyze app is easy to use and user friendly. - step and sleep tracker appear to be relatively accurate. Cons - Alexa: the functionality is limited and in order to have it work, you appear to need to have the Wyze app open on your phone at all times for it to connect. It also does not speak back to you - rather you get text back - freezes once in a while which requires a restart - no music controller Overall, it's a great band and if it broke I would purchase again without reservation. The price is great for all the features that you get and I'm surprised this doesn't cost more. I don't worry about damaging it (v. an expensive watch). If you are looking for a notification watch then this is it. If you are looking more for a dedicated fitness watch, I would look other places. I hope Wyze puts out a smart band with a speaker and a music controller.

Exactly as expected given the price point
So I've had this for one week. First, let me say that absolutely the reason this didn't get lower than a 4 star is because of the value. Next, I do not own, nor have I owned any other device like this other than a FitBit Charge 2 (circa 2014 model, no heart rate monitoring or much of anything really). I don't know how other devices do with sleep tracking but late night relaxation (tv watching, phone usage) starts to register as time sleeping. The devices has some noticeable lag in it. It's very sensitive to bring up the screen except for when I actually want to bring up the screen. After that the device is annoyingly not snappy and the (you will want to use) swipe to unlock often does not recognize my swipe to unlock which means the device will go back to sleep and I have to do it multiple times to get into the watch. One reason I got this was a budget way to have Alexa on my wrist. I don't understand why many of my commands show "An empty caption." after the action is performed. The watch is kind of weird to get to "Alexa" mode because it's just a few vibrations and then the screen takes a couple seconds to move to the screen you would expect but you should start talking after the second vibrate. Lastly the app and the phone itself... kind of weird and they need to do some updating to the UI in the app. I spent I don't know how long attempting to change the background image on the watch face to one of my kids and it wasn't until I accidentally saw the "save" text in the upper right-hand corner of the screen because it was the same font as the background. The app looks like the watch itself... WHY?!?!?!? is my question. It might not make sense but it is. The UI doesn't make much sense to me. For example there is an entire section for Heart Rate but in order to see sleep you go into the Activity area which also has... BPM?!?!??!! I wish there were an option to have a home screen with the weather on it. The notifications... They work, just not great. You don't get any custom icons and there is a list of social media apps you can turn on/off individually and then there is a few others (calendar, phone, message) and then there is just a "Other". So if you have something like your garage door you have to see those notifications along with say Alarm notifications or say ESPN/Sports scores updates. They all look the same on the watch. So aside from the words, the icon is the same. Like I said though... VALUE! It's not perfect so no 5-Star. However it's close for the value. I find myself wanting to reply to things and it would be great if it could but I'm not sure if that is just something that apple (my use iPhone) restricts to Apple Watch only. Not sure but it would be great if it had that ability. Maybe I can do it with Alexa, I have not tried yet. The screen itself looks great. Great brightness, crisp lettering on everything I can see. My wife has an apple watch and the "find phone" function is not very good on it. This is great because it will keep playing until you tap it to stop. I wish I could dig a little deeper into stats and I wish the app just had the stats and not just be the same as the watch itself but again VALUE! If you don't currently have a device and want to test one out get this. Period. It will make you want something more mature and feature packed with better performance but once you realize you like the digital smart watch thing you can pass this off to a relative or kid and honestly not think twice because it's that cheap. I also do not worry all that much about the screen and getting it wet because of the price. No i'm not made of $$ but if 6 months from now I break this screen I can buy another one brand new for $40 where as other devices, $40 doesn't even get a repair done to it. It's limited in function, yes but it is hard to beat the value.

Solid Product at Great Price
This is a solid product at a great price. I definitely recommend it for someone who wants to try something like this out and/or does not want to spend their life savings!!! I like it! (I've had it a couple months at this point.) That said, it does have some quirks... - Other than the time it can be hard to view in bright light (e.g., sun). I recommend staying with the solid black background to maximize contrast. - If you sit at a desk it can (and does for me) think I am sleeping! If I move around in the evening sleep tracking seems to be good, but resting my left hand on a keyboard often gets counted as sleep! (YMMV) HEY! I have slept 2 1/2 hours this evening! Really..??? - I am getting 2-3 weeks between charges with the pulse sampling set to 5 minute intervals. (YMMV) - Connection to my Samsung Galaxy S7 drops at times, probably because I use the Bluetooth for 2 or 3 other devices that assert a priority. Does not appear to be a Band problem. - Heart rate seems very accurate. I can relate spikes to activity (with surprises). This and sleep tracking were my primary motivation for getting this. - Sleep tracking on the Band shows status over time. In the app you only see the daily totals (bar graph for week.) Wish I could expand those on the app where the time scale would be more readable. - Step counts are ALWAYS less than my S7 shows -- and I know that under counts. It isn't a big difference so I consider this minor. If you have a target you will run a bit over but day-to-day comparisons are still valid. - The alarm and notifications work, but I do not generally feel the vibration if I am at all active. - You can set it up to remind you to get up and move around if you have been inactive for a period -- nice feature! And if I AM inactive a do feel the vibration! - I have not tried the "Find Phone" yet. - Don't forget that some settings are on the band and some are in the Wyze App. - The band has been swimming -- and it still works fine. (Another feature on my list and glad I looked for that!) Speaking of Wyze... THIS is a company to watch. Great products. Great customer-facing attitude. They fix bugs quickly and updates are easy to download/install.

Great for the price
At this price, I would have been happy with just a watch that tracks activity and shows me incoming texts and phone calls. The fact that it allows me to give Alexa commands is a great added bonus. I use it to turn lights on and off, and to do quick searches. I also have used it several times to set an Alexa timer or alarm if I have something in the oven. So far it has an almost perfect record of recognizing voice commands. I'm coming to the end of the 2nd week of owning the Wyze Band, and I have only charged it once. Right now the battery is at 50%, and I charged it 5 days ago. Battery life is better than expected. I went for a 5K walk the other day, and the step counter worked perfectly. Before this I used a Fitbit, and I could not read the screen if I was wearing my sunglasses while on a walk. The Wyze Band is bright enough so that I can easily read it while wearing sunglasses. Also, you can set a preference on the Wyze so that the screen stays awake when it is in 'Run' mode. With the Fitbit it was frequently awkward to wake the tracker up to check my progress in the middle of an activity. I had one brief session with tech support, which went very well. A couple of days after the band arrived, there was a line of pixel across the width of the screen that stayed dark, which made the screen difficult to read. I was able to easily get in touch with tech support through the Wyze web site, and in a chat session I was given the instructions to reboot the Wyze band. The problem disappeared after the reboot and I've had no problems since then. It doesn't have the ability to store or play music, and you can't respond to texts or phone calls from the Wyze Band. But at this price it provides all of the basic functions that I need, with the added bonus of Alexa integration. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Decent value
I waited a while to write this review to ensure I was giving it full consideration. For the price, you can't beat it as a time piece, and a simple tracking device. The find my watch/find my phone feature has come in handy- especially when I wasn't at home with access to Google Mini. The actual sleep and step tracking features are very basic and limited in what you can evaluate it for. I have doubts about the accuracy of the heart rate monitor, as I've tested it in various scenarios and the rates don't change much. The screen is small, but effective enough to glance to see who is calling or texting so you can make a quick decision if you want to grab your phone. The notifications come through even if the phone is in another room or upstairs in a home. You can personalize your screen with a photo or graphic and the clockface style of your choice. The battery lasts about 10 days for me between charging. Synchronizing is easy. For aprox $20, it is a decent watch/smart watch. I would recommend it for someone who wants a simple watch with notifications, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone who really wants to track their fitness or sleep or two-way communication/texting.

The Best of five trackers and smart watches I have.
Wyze Tracker Review Overview: I have six inexpensive trackers (two smart watchers and four simple trackers) and the Wyze band is the best of the lot by far. It is the King of keeping an accurate count of your steps. It also breaks new ground at this price point as it is the only one that gets routine updates including new functionality: two so far, and one added the ability to turn on the face as flashlight, great idea and unique and stopwatch, probably should have had that out of the box. You can organize the order of functions you see as you swipe through them and even remove those you do not want to see. Connects to Amazon Alexa and allows you to have that functionality, although you have to have the Wyze up running on your cell phone and currently synched to the tracker for this to work. It is fully functional, but I have those devices all over the house, so having it on the tracker is not important to me. They say 10 days on the battery and I think I may go beyond that. Keeping track of your steps: It is the only one of my five that keeps an accurate count while I am walking normally with a gentle arm swing and does not require you to swing your arms unnaturally high to get an accurate count. I have one tracker that simply will not count any steps if you are walking naturally along with a normal arm swing. (I keep it because it has other good features (good O2 meter). Using some of the Tracker Functions: I have done some activities under the two Workout functions on the tracker called Indoor Run and Free Training (no explanation why its called Indoor Run), but its differentiation from Free Training is that it keeps tracks of time, distance, heart rate calories and pace. Free training only keeps track of time, calories and heart rate. Not sure how the app changes steps to get the distance it reports. While not reported in Indoor running or Free Training, the Tracker continues to keep your steps no matter whether you are using or not using any of the other functions. Data from the Workout option Free Training does not get transferred to the Fit app as a unit. However, whenever the tracker monitors your heart rate either continuously or on demand, that will show up in the Fit app. Integration with Google Fit: The Tracker connects to Google Fit through the Wyze app but when data moves to Fit you lose some details and is not always perfect but that may have more to do with Google than Wyze. At the end of the day, the Fit app usually has a few less steps than the Tracker. I think that is because Google has to program how to count steps when you are also carrying the phone at the same time as the tracker and has to truncate steps to not double count. Once I even saw data in the Fit that was clearly the result of double counting, but after awhile it had corrected itself. The total on the Tracker are usually close but the same to what Fit has. The data moves to Fit from the Wyze app spontaneously and sporadically and in odd chunks that do not relate one to one to your events. However, sometimes when you are moving through the Wyze app and go from screen to screen reviewing your data, it appears to triggers a data move to Fit. Sleep: The sleep function on the tracker keeps a detailed view of your night’s sleep including periods you are awake, in deep sleep and light sleep and creates a detailed graphic of your night’s sleep. An issue is that the detailed graphic is on the tracker’s tiny screen and there is no way to tie any of those periods to a precise time of night or duration of the period. When you synch the data with the Wyze app, all the detail goes away and all you get is a bar graph showing the split between deep and light sleep. If you are sharing the Wyze data with your Google Fit app, when the data gets sent to the Fit app, it gets further aggregated to only the total time the tracker thinks you are in bed sleeping. If you read before sleeping, that is in the data as sleep time. In summary, it is my favorite tracker because I really mostly care about tracking my physical activity and the device is nearly perfect. The heart rate monitor also appears to be the most accurate of any device I have. On the other hand, heart issues are too important to rely on an inexpensive tracker or smart watch. It does not have blood pressure like nearly ever other tracker and smart watch, but blood pressure is probably even more important than simple heart rate, and I would never rely on one of these devices for that anyway. Its a five star device for my preferences and needs.

Buy only if you want a Beta Device
Let me preface my review by saying I'm a big fan of Wyze Cameras! For the price and feature set, you really can't beat it. They aren't perfect, but you get a lot for under $25/camera and appreciate the accessibility that the features/price they facilitate that they are trying to accomplish, especially for the quality of the product. I was hoping that Wyze Band would be another step in that direction, except in the fitness app/tracker space. Wyze Band promises the features, but unfortunately the quality is just NOT there. Here are the issues I've been so far: (1) Step Count Inaccuracy: Having a fitbit in the past, I have some sense of how many steps I take in a day. I'm fairly certain this device is over-counting my steps and at least 25%, likely up to 50%. (2) Alexa Integration FAIL: It has not worked for me at all. I authorized it, but the band simply "listens" and never processes anything. If you read Tech Blog reviews, you'll see that this is unfortunately expected behavior. (3) Alexa Overtriggering: At the same time, my band regularly triggers in daily use when I'm not trying to trigger it. Literally anytime the band's face is touching something, it triggers. Testing a Xiao Mi Band 4 next to it, the over triggering is definitely an issue with the band and not the use. It's annoying. (4)" Lift to Wake doesn't work: So bands like these are meant to turn on their screens when you raise your wrist, so you can see the time and notifications without actually touching the band. I would say the success rate for this feature is 10-15% at best. The Xiao Mi Band 4 (which I'm testing in parallel) triggers very well. (5) Google Fit Integration: Two problems here. The sync isn't always up-to-date, meaning you can't view your data that quickly. Without that, its hard to see your fitness data on the band or in the Wyze app because you can't really see the data with much granularity. What's worst, there are data gaps in the sync. I'm literally missing a day's worth of data between Monday and Wednesday -- The Wyze app shows it, but Fit is missing it. HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN!?!?!? (6) TOO MANY touches for DND: The ability to mute notifications on your band is important, whether at night or when you're in a meeting or laying down with your kid as they go to sleep. It should be one, if not two touches away. It's likely 4-5 touches away, WAY TOO many touches to get to that setting for something you need frequently. There's much to like about a band at this price point, but the negatives outweigh the potential and actual experience. Unless Wyze addresses these issues, save your time and money and try something else. Sorry Wyze! I still like your cameras but I'm not paying to beta test one of your devices. The ONLY thing I can say positive about this is that the App UI is much prettier than Xiao Mi Band 4, and that the screen is gorgeous for this footprint and price.

updated July 2021
Update July 2021 - some very significant accuracy improvements so I gave it an extra star ... not sure what software updates wyze did but for the first time today after not wearing it for the past few weeks (was wearing my fitbit charge 3) I actually got a side-by-side 99% accurate reading from my elliptical display and the wyze activity band after a 1 hr session - !!! I was stunned !!! - I will be wearing it continuously for the next few weeks into August and report back - if wyze figured out the software/hardware dilemma that plagues these devices, this may be the very best purchase in fitness trackers I ever made ... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I had pretty decent experiences with the wyze cameras especially v3 which is excellent and far superior to prior versions always at a reasonable price point. I really want to like this fitness tracker but after two weeks of wearing it I'm almost ready to send it back since it is NOT really a fitness tracker: pros; -excellent price point from a reputable company - only other close competitor is Xiaomi Mi Band 5 -very comfortable on my wrist straight out of the box - can wear it continuously without any wrist pain, rash or other discomfort -the screen, albeit smallish, does a fine job, it is clear and crisp and always extremely responsive -syncs with my android phone quickly and shows up quickly in wyze app -haven't immersed in water but plenty of garden hose splash, sink splash, hand car wash splash and washing hands with it on - no issues -durability seems fine, albeit I haven't abused it like my fitbits -already received one update which installed quickly and flawlessly - not sure if I'm seeing all the improvements yet so can't really objectively comment -integrates well with other wyze products -works very well with Alexa cons; -this is really NOT a fitness tracker - very few activities are tracked -the wyze application is crap - I mean crap ... there is just no comparison with fitbit - wyze needs like another year or two of serious programming to build something like the fitbit app IF they want this to be a FITNESS tracker - otherwise this is just another add-on to apps you already have on your phone -the device accuracy is questionable - in all fairness all these devices have questionable accuracy within 15% +/- parameters at best - net-net by comparison to my fitbit, wyze is off-count daily - either higher or lower in all stats which makes me continuously wonder whether their overall error rate is even higher than fitbit - this is where I get stuck on whether to keep this device overall - if you don't already have another fitness tracker I would recommend giving this one a try at this price point and see for yourself if it helps you - if you have another device, then I recommend you compare the performance between the two and see if you come up with the same assessment as I did

Good but not great
Decent quality for the price. But fitness tracker info is too basic. The mobile app experience feels like an afterthought, since the app is more designed for the Wyze smart home ecosystem of devices. Sleep tracking, for example, doesn't even break down light and deep sleep by the hour.
A**.
Vale la pena
Se desvincula de Alexa constantemente, pero todo lo demás funciona muy bien.
