Great Dutch Oven
I purchased the 4.5 quart one in red. I’ve used it several times now, once on the stovetop to stew chicken breasts for enchiladas and once for lamb stew that started on the stovetop and finished in the oven. Both turned out great and the pot cleaned up amazingly easy. The only drawback is it is very, very heavy even when empty (at least 12 lbs.) Other than the weight, it’s just what I was looking for. My previous one was a nonstick coated metal that started pitting after over 15 years of use, which is why I wanted a ceramic coated one.

Great for sourdough!
I'm using this to bake sourdough, and it works perfectly. It's very heavy duty and preheats just fine in the oven- I know it says not to preheat empty on the stovetop, but in the oven is fine. It cooks lovely loaves with a good oven spring, and is a good size for a standard sourdough boule.

Very Well Made
This is a nice sturdy dutch oven for a fraction of the cost of others, and every bit as nice. Oven safe up to 500'. No forever chemicals. Cooks evenly and can be used on all cooktops. It works like porcelain enameled cast iron should.

Fantastic product from a reputable company
I now have two dutch ovens from Lodge because of the qualities of their products. I got the basic cast iron pan first, and liked it so much I decided to get a ceramic one to try. They are both awesome!!! The ceramic one is a little easier on the clean up, but not by a lot. Great quality for the price. Will definitely by another in the future.

It served us well for 10 years
This has been a great cooking pot, for soups, Indian dishes, porridge. When it was 10 years old, the finish started chipping on the bottom, so I threw it away and bought a new one. No, I never used metal utensils on it. The comparable item from La Creuset costs about 5 times the price of this one, and probably weighs more, so this is is a better deal, right?

Cooks great
Great pot had to get a smaller one than the 7qrt we already have. Cooks really well, keeps the heat and cleans pretty good. I really like the blue color Would definitely recommend

Beautiful
Delivery earlier than expected, especially on a Sunday.LODGE cast iron Dutch ovens are a name one can always depend on.I haven't used it yet but will do it later in the week.I already own a LODGE 3qt., so I knew what to expect.I was undecided between this 4.5 or a 6qt.I opened the box with trepidation as it looked like it was the same size as what I owned for fear of having to return it.NOT.It was a beautiful red color, and the size was perfect. We all like new things, don't we?A 6qt would have been too big, especially since I am single. The price was perfect as other stores charged up to $100 and got it at Amazon's payment provisionI'm glad I made the right decision.
