Floodfree Pump Control and Alarm

I purchased this pump control to replace an earlier device from Floodfree.That unit was in service for maybe eight or more years and still functioned, but the high water alarm was falsely sounding.I decided a replacement was in order considering the consequence of failure.This new pump control was installed hours before the huge rains here in Chicagoland (and elsewhere) late April '13.My pump was (still is) cycling every 20 seconds keeping up with the inflow.So far, it's holding up well. Time will of course tell.This model updates the probes from the previous version simplifying installation.

Would have liked a longer distance between pump on and pump off. It is a better setup than the old control switch I had which had an adjustable timer that had to be adjusted depending on the flow rate.

So good I purchased a second one when I upgraded my other sump pump. Works great no hassles with sticking floats and the high water alarm is nice to have

I’ve used the same product (sold with A different name ) that came on the HD 5 year sump pump and had to replace that switch 2 times in 5 years. I was hoping the other reviews were flukes. Well this one is dead at 4 months. I did notice a small gap where the wires exit the sensor- I epoxied it hoping that would solve but no luck.

Worked as a replacement... Easy install...Kinda pricey for what it does... At the price I really considered replacing whole pump. Too lazy to glue the PVC.

well made unit..but alas it didn't meet my needs so I had to return it..no hassle at all in doing that. It didn't let the pump run long enough..I bought their other unit that better serves my purpose.
