Rather than cut out through away and buy new. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Valterra 200-CU20 PVC Swing/Spring Combination Check Valve *by M***. on August 6, 2025* I purchased this check valve to replace an older valve on my pool. The old valve was allowing water to flow in the wrong direction, and even though I replaced the flapper on the old valve, it continued to let water back up and it would lower the water level in the spa every night when the system was off. It took a little work to install the valve, I had to cut out the old valve and make some adjustments with the PVC piping, but I very much like the concept that since the check valve has slip connectors, it can be replaced very easily in the future... check valves don't last forever. The check valve is also in clear plastic, so it is easy to see the valve in action... it is easy to see if a twig or something got into the system and is causing the valve to seat incorrectly, thereby allowing water to go in the wrong direction when the system is off.
