Review: My dog loves these as toppers! - I have a 9 lb picky chihuahua rescue with virtually no teeth. I initially bought the toppers of this brand and he loved them, so I decided to try the kibble version thinking he would basically just be jazzed to eat a whole bowl of his favorite treats. However, it is NOT cost-effective used as a daily meal, and especially for a larger dog, I would not use it regularly. That said, as a topper and treat, it's fantastic. Very similar to the actual toppers they sell, but he seems to prefer this formula better and will now snub the original toppers. They are crumbly (very crumbly and flaky, so beware of messes if you break them up) and soft and the perfect size for him - as treats I break them into 2-3 pieces. For a topper I put 3-4 of them smushed/broken up on top of his regular food with his other toppers. While this is not an affordable (IMO) source of complete nutrition/food compared to other kibble brands, I would highly recommend it as a topper at least, and if you CAN afford it then your dog is very lucky! Interestingly, my picky Siamese cat ALSO loves it, so I give it to him as a treat crumbled up.
