A Very Cheaply Made Product that Tries to Imitate a musical instrument
Product was received on time and on the date promised. The Viheula itself is VERY cheaply made. The instrument arrived with one string being incorrect. When I attempted to tune the strings, one of the knobs on the tuning peg would just slip and spin never being able to tighten the string enough to be in tune. The frets extended past the width of the neck on both sides and was very sharp and could even cut your hands as you slide them up and down the neck. Save your money and buy another manufacturers product.

Lucida vihuela
This vihuela is very nice and its suitable for any student or intermediate level player. The craftsmanship on this instrument is outstanding. For an instrument on this price range it is well worth the price. The sound is good and crisp. As a musician I recommend this vihuela to any beginner or intermidiate player.

Tuners not great
Beautiful body and sound. One tuner did not work. Emailed the company and they never replied.

Good sound - good quality
I'm a guitarist learning vihuela. I have bought a lot of various stringed instruments over the years. Instruments of all types sub $1000 need setup, this one too. Using a fret file, File the nut slots down carefully until the strings are .020 or so above the 1st fret. Add 3 or 4 fishing line frets as is tradition and shown on YouTube. It's a shame that many other reviewers had bad experiences but my Lucida's tuners work just fine and the lateral and neck length intonation were fine as well. Vihuela neck action gets high quickly on all vihuelas that I've seen no matter the price range because of the aggressive percussive raking strums that one has to use. I love this instrument.

Cheaply made
I am not happy with this vihuela. The craftsmanship is not very good. The string tighteners are too hard to turn by hand. Very disappointed. Not sure if its because it's made in china.

vihuela of poor quality
It did not tune, it was referred to by a reputable guitar shop as a "toy" because it was so poorly made that it cannot function as a musical instrument. I could not spend so much money on a piece of wall art when I wanted a usable, functioning vihuela.

Good instrument. Don’t listen to other reviews.
The people who complained about this vihuela probably just don’t know much about instruments. Most tuners need oil and strings won’t be tuned. That’s something you have to do on your own. Definitely not a toy and any self ran music store owner would put it down in order for you to buy something of theirs. This is a good instrument.

Lousy
At best, the vihuela looks nice. It’s barely playable and sounds out of tune most of the time. Please don’t waste your money, get a much better one for another $150. Wouldn’t even recommend for a beginner.
