If North Coast was Rick Bell's ""debut"", the MSB album was certainly his coming out party, with his sax being showcased on eight of the ten album tracks, including ""Hang Tough"" which also includes Michael Gizmondi joining Bell on sax to become ""the Ohio Road Dog Horn section"". Kevin Raleigh's ""When I'm Holding You Tight"" was released as a single, as was Stanley's ""Take The Time"", for which an ""MTV"" video was produced. But the high point of the album comes right in the middle, as two flawless ballads stand side by side. Stanley's ""Spanish Nights"", in which two lovers ""swear that each time was the last one"", and Raleigh's ""One Of Those Dreams"", where the lovers ""got so caught up they forgot all the rules"", both feature smoldering sax from Bell and stellar arrangements. The album was recorded at the Recording Connection in Cleveland and the Bee Gee's studio Middle Ear in Miami. Produced and arranged by MSB and Don Gehman.

One of their best
Albums by the Michael Stanley Band are getting harder and harder to find since Michael Gee died this year but he accomplished an amazing amount of success and for good reason; he was a very talented musician and and a very underrated song writer. He played with Clarence Clemons and Joe Wash to boot. People may argue about his individual talents but nobody got more out of their god given talent and anyone who met himever had a bad word to say about him. RIP MG you were a difference maker for more people myself included; then you will ever know!!!

Great Rock Band from the Land
This Cleveland group is a great gem of a rock band. Two great lead vocalists, kick ass lead guitar player, good sax and drummer, and two fabulous song writers. Very popular regional band during the 1970s-1980s that is probably the best collection of rockers you never heard about. Clarence Clemons, Joe Walsh, Todd Rundgren and others pitched-in with Michael Stanley Band (MSB) on early albums. These guys helped put the Rock in the Rock & Roll capital of the world.

What's not to like?
I bought a physical copy nearly 40 years ago before Amazon was even a thing, so I knew what to expect from it. The digital copy for my phone sounds pretty good, too.

It is one of my favorite Michael Stanley 's best CD"s...It plays perfect! I am a fan from way back and I have seen them in concert...and I want to see what the band sounds like now..
