Darkwing Duck is the hero of St. Canard. Or he would be in the media would actually tell his story. Of course, since he just catches run of the mill criminals, there is little for them to report on.All that changes when he crosses paths with Taurus Bulba. He's a master criminal using the perfect hideout, a jail cell. But he's concocted a scheme to steal an invention. He just needs the inventor's granddaughter to tell him the secret code.Naturally, Darkwing can't have that. Reluctantly teaming up with Launchpad McQuack, he tries to hide Gosalyn from the villain. Can Darkwing save the day?This video is the pilot episode, and provides some cool moments for fans of the show. We get to see how our three heroes met, and we get our first look at DW's hideout.Of course, the elements that made this show great are already in place. Darkwing Duck has so many character flaws, including an ego the size of the planet, and these constantly get him into trouble and lead him to funny situations.And there's a great story. Watching it again, I was surprised at how simple it really was. I remembered a few more complications. Still, it was entertaining and well worth watching.While this video is long out of print, it is available in the new DVD collection that includes 27 great episodes from this show.

I can recall being a little girl and NEVER missing an episode of "Darkwing Duck". I went so far as to collect toys from the series, and I can honestly recall being a 6 year old with an over active imagination and calling myself his secratary.In all truth, "Darkwing Duck" was perhaps one of the greatest Disney cartoon shows EVER created. It ranks higher than even my other childhood favorites of "Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers" and "Duck Tales".The adventures of DW made me LOVE crimefighting and super heros, and now one can watch this timeless classic once again!I'm 20 years old, and even I still enjoy watching "Darkwing Duck" every now and again, just to feel like a kid again.

This is truly fun for the whole family. No, your kids are not going to get bored while watching this and you don't have to listen to the drone of childish dialouge while thinking "You know, this whole time I could have been doing something useful, like watch an apple brown" So, Back to the movie. I LOVE this tape!. Darkwing Duck is the very egoccentric and arrogent action hero of St. Canard. He draws the fine line between being the "I'm an annoying prima donna" and the "I have quite an charming and humorous personality" brilently. And this video has plenty of wit to spare. And, wait, there's more! Darkwing Duck actually shows his vulnerability, which allows the audiance to connect to him as a person. Who ever does the voice work for Darkwing Duck's character does a wonderful job! So go and buy this tape already! The kids won't regret it and you won't ethier. P.S. It makes a great gift too!
