For those who would like to get a great overview of what Sri Aurobindo and The Mother are all about, this is very helpful. It is so easy to get lost in the thousands of pages of letters, talks, anecdotes, activities.... that have come out of this phenomenon at Pondicherry, India. It is difficult to get a clear picture of what exactly happened and what it all means. Joshi has spent years studying this event and gives us the benefit of his keen mind. We see the greatness of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, and their place in history. I'me very grateful for his contribution and clarification. It is invaluable.

Excellent and concise summary of central points of the work of these two spiritual giants - though there may be more than one edition of this book - I notice that there are several pages of the final chapter that are available in the online version but do not seem to be in this published version that is listed as the same edition. Strange.
