5hp motor- you can connect the timer to the motor starter contactor coil and not the motor directly. Take help of an electrician to do this. Automatically switch on/off daily 30-40minuntes - yes

Q: For output, which pins should I use out of 3,4 and 5? I want to connect it to water motor, please suggest.

We have shown the wiring diagram in the third image of the product listing of amazon . 1 and 2 input . 2 and 4 output when relay is on and 2 and 3 output when the relay is off. Meaning this timer can be used also as a 1 Changeover along with being used as a regular timer unit. To explain lets take an example of a ATM where there are 2 Ac's installed and you want to turn on 1 A/c at any point of time , that is when 1 ac is on the other should be off. In this case have timer with a 1 changeover function will allow you to alternate between the two ac's. hope you get the point. In your case if you are only connecting to 1 motor then using only the output which is live when the relay switches on is enough and that is 2 and 4 pins.
