Beautiful and blunt, but bigger!
I should tell these people "these cards are terrible and people should stay away from them!" but that's because I just want them all to myself and not share them with anyone. But honestly, they are beautiful. I love them. The artwork is too dark for some people, and that is okay. This deck is the most blunt tarot deck I have. The mini version goes everywhere with me!

Unlike any other tarot deck I own
These cards are unlike any other tarot deck I own. The imagery is stunning. I purchased the companion book and I have on my bucket list to meet Patrick Valenza someday! This man was born to create this deck. He’s actually made me want to create my own deck one day and since he planted that seed in my soul, I’m going to start working on it in 2025. It may well be only for me but it feels like something I HAVE to do. He stated early on that he wanted to make a deck and seeing what he created, I totally get how these cards had to be. The meanings he shares are so damned insightful and informative; he shares his own insights that have given me goosebumps. I literally get physical reactions from these cards where sometimes it feels like my hair stands up. I love how they shuffle. The box definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I will be making my own velvet bag for them (I’m on the hunt for a harlequin pattern), but in the meantime, I might just wrap the box carefully with strong, clear shipping tape for strength. The booklet that comes with it is okay but the companion book explains history of how he created this masterpiece and the detailed information and his personal experiences and dreams (& nightmares) that influenced the creation of the cards. I can’t recommend these cards highly enough! If you can, also get the book. You won’t regret it.

Stunning Artwork
These cards are so incredibly gorgeous and well made. The artwork is just breath taking, there is some normal human nudity but it's all really tasetful and artistic. The style of the artist will remind of you of a Tim Burton meets Dali, with a dark punch of Picasso in the mix. The cardstock shuffles so nicely, and the size of the cards are just right. If you collect tarot decks just for the artworks, this is a must have.

An Intuitive, Beautiful, and Ethereal Deck
I sat on this deck for a couple months before committing the time to giving it a proper test drive. I had looked through each card the moment it arrived back in May, but I hadn't actually used it until this week. First of all, the artwork is stunning and it resonates on a very visceral level with me. Art, aesthetics, and symbolism are subjective, so your mileage may vary on this point. For me, the images are intuitive and speak to something deep inside me. I absolutely love the artwork. I have a lot of decks and have been reading tarot for over forty years now, and I have plenty of decks that just don't work for me. I do a reading or pull a card and the results are just random and kind of meh. THIS deck, though, is uncanny. And again, that may be the symbolism and the imagery speaking so loudly, but I find myself constantly drawing cards to see what comes up. As a personal deck, Deviant Moon is in the top two decks that I prefer for my own use (the other being the Medieval Scapini, which has been my go-to for almost thirty years). The booklet's interpretation of the cards is wonderfully nuanced, as well. The printing of the images is flawless. So, it's beautiful, intuitive, amazing in its personal connection (to me, again ymmv). Now for the downside: The box is utter crap, which is kind of surprising for US Games. The cardstock used to make it is exceptionally thin and the top flap ripped the first time I opened it. The box is a bit large for the cards, so the box will crush in places, which means it won't stay closed and I have picked up the box only to have the cards drop out of the bottom more than once. Do yourself a favor and replace the stock box with a bag or custom box ASAP. The cards themselves are on very thin stock, which isn't a terrible thing, as it makes for easier shuffling, but I will be curious to see if this affects the overall longevity of the deck (especially since it looks like it will be getting a lot of use). Also, the cards are a little long and if you have little hands like me, you may find them hard to handle. I have similar problems with the Scapini deck, but I think of it as a good way to stretch and exercise my fingers. Honestly, the quality of the card stock and the size of the cards are things that are easy to get used to. The box is garbage. And these are honestly the only bad things I can think of about this deck.If the imagery in the posted images appeals to you, then you will love this deck. I can't recommend it highly enough.
