Families, Families, Families!

As a mama with a solo parent household, a friend gave this to me for my baby shower. Since then I think I’ve bought three more copies for friends baby showers or little ones birthdays. The importance of teaching little kids about different types of families is SO important. This book does a great job of explaining that. There are many books for older kids but this is great for toddlers and preschoolers (in my opinion)

I chose this book to explore the theme of “All about me”for my preschool class. The pictures are colorful, the use of animals to depict all kinds of families was perfect, and the text is easy to understand for young children. Highly recommend!

We have a lot of books about families and this is our favorite. We have purchased several copies for gifts and highly recommend it to others.

What a great way to make what could be a slightly tougher conversation for some folks fun and relatable! I love that they highlight the full spectrum of kinds of families and reassure kids that there is no wrong way to build a family if it is constructed on the foundation of love. Great way to safely open up dialogue on different kinds of family dynamics and inclusivity.

The illustration style of this book is very unique and fun to look at! The words and storyline itself are quite simple but convey a powerful, wonderful message. We do wish for a little more storyline with longer sentences but for a younger child it’s absolutely great and matter of fact.

Love this book, my 3 year old and I had good conversations from reading it. It gives a balanced view on different types of families and includes animals. It's cute, it rhymes, and adorable. Good book, esp for kids to understand that there are all kinds of families out there. Also, a good time to start talking to your child about it.

It shows diverse family makeups in a way that is easy for kids to understand. My 3 year olds bring this book to me to read all the time. It opens up dialogue into our unique family dynamics in a natural way.

This book is amazing! I have a unique family situation and this book really just normally and naturally describes so many unique situations like mine. I think it’s also an outstanding book for those in traditional families, so that kids grow up with exposure to non-traditional families, and cultivate acceptance.

We love this story about how it talks about how everyone is different but love is what makes a family. The illustration are lovey too.Suitable for aged 3+
