Love it - have a few
Love this robe. Dries my pup so fast. Must disagree with other reviewers who say things like "an XL would fit a 45 lb dog". I ordered a small. It's too big for my 16 lb Jack Russell, and just a tiny bit too small for my 45 lb Lab/Pitt. So a medium would likely fit my 45 lb dog perfectly, and is my next purchase. I board pups and have used this many times on many sized pups and even if you buy the "wrong" size, it's effective for its intended purpose - to dry your pup and prevent pup from getting water everywhere. This is because your dog's head will still fit through the head hole, and you can tie the robe with the included tie, so even if sizing isnt perfect, the product is functional. Dont freak out about the size. But I think: 50 lb dog = medium. Smaller dog = small. Larger dog = large.Update 2 years later:I still use these robes frequently. They've held up really well. They do shrink if you put them in the dryer after washing them, so my previous comments about sizing need updating if you plan to dry them in the dryer rather than air dry them. after washing & drying, the large was good for my 50 pound dog. I have two 75 pound dogs, and the large is too small for them.

ahhhhhh-MAZING!!!!!
We're in the middle of a blizzard, and here I am loving this Snuggly so much that I just had to stop to write a review!!! This is our Lab's first 'real' snow as she just turned a year old last month. Well, come to find out little Sophie thinks snow is possibly the best thing in the world! As a result she's been in and out of the house for a little romp in the 2 1/2 feet of white stuff a *gazillion* times today! Every time she comes back in, I just slip her Snuggly over her head, give her a few big bear-hugs to soak up a bit more moisture, and off she goes. She's happy to wear it around the house, and we're happy too...no wet dog laying on our floors; shaking wet fur on our furniture, or, getting us all wet! Only 5 or 10 minutes later, when I go to check her coat, I am always amazed to find that her fur is completely dry!!! We just hang her Snuggly up to dry until next time.We gave Sophie her Snuggly as a Christmas present and until today we'd only used it as an after-shower towel. I thought we'd mainly be using it as an after-pool towel, but it's become a real lifesaver today, that's for sure!!! I only wish it were just a tad bigger, i.e. longer. We bought an XL for our girl...she's a 13-month old Labrador Retriever, who now weighs 85 lbs...all pure muscle I might add! ;-) While we CAN button her tail in there, we knew going in that the XL Snuggly was close to being too short for her body, so for comfort's sake we usually leave the back unbuttoned. For the 5-10 minutes she's wearing it (and provided I pull the back down over her little tush), it does remain firmly in place and stays centered on her back. (Note to the Manufacturer: I might strongly suggest making these in an XXL, and perhaps, even a size larger than that!)Sophie & I really think this is FABULOUS, so by all means, if one of these fits your dog we say BUY it!!!

My dog doesn't have a tail, thoughhh........ ugh lol jk
I'm Giving this 5 stars even though I could have just read the description and saved myself the disappointment. I didn't know they use a button to go around the dogs tail as an anchor to keep it on straight. But I think I can maybe put some buttons off my own to close the belly and use it like a jacket instead of a robe.I do like how absorbing this material is on my Australian shepherd dog. Her hair is thick and it was doing a great job since her hair can sometimes retain so much water.Definitely measure your dog and get the right size for them if they have a tail. If not, then try to find a brand that makes this but more of a "dog jacket"

A little small
My dog is 55 ish pounds with a slightly big chest. I got the medium based on the measurements and wish I had gotten a large. The medium barely covers his tummy. That said, the robe dries him really well and looks silly on him in a good way. I think this product is worth it, especially for dogs that dry themselves off by rolling around on furniture.

Waterdog Essential!
My golden retriever is a lake and ocean swimmer (needs to be hosed off after play)and a therapy dog (weekly shampoo and conditioning before visits) and loves to run in the rain =many towels. The Snuggly Dog Easy Wear towel goes over his head and has a soft belt tie like a bathrobe. He will wear this much longer than the old one which was thicker and had velcro at neck and waist and did not cover chest or neck well. Absorbs a lot of water and washes well. I have ordered multiple ones in blue.Wish they made one size larger (longer) as he is a long dog.

So great until...
I've used the snuggly twice, washed it twice. There is already a hole forming in the fabric, not the seam, but the fabric itself. The snuggly wasn't cheap, so I expected it to not form holes so easily and so quickly. I'll need to sew it to reinforce it before it actually tears into the seam. Other than that, I love it even if my pup doesn't. I got the XL which fits my 90 lb German Shepherd mix. It keeps him from rolling around on other surfaces, and it's very absorbent. I no longer need 2-3 towels to dry him. I would still recommend this product but also advise to check the fabric after washing for any thin spots or holes in the fabric.

Really dries the fur!
This drying coat actually works! The inside is a fluffier, longer microfiber terry which grabs the water out of my Portuguese Water Dog's hair. Her fur is very long, curly, and thick. I got a size Medium and it fits her perfectly. She is 40 lbs, 28" around the girth behind her front legs, 22" long from collar to base of tail, and 19" tall from withers to floor. I slip the robe over her head, tie the belt around her girth, and fasten the tail loop. The robe stays on and the tail loop doesn't bother her at all. She is swimming frequently in a lake, and she was always shivering on the way home. I tried several different combinations of coats and towels. This one actually has her mostly dry by the time we arrive home after a 1/2 hour car ride. I also use a nubby microfiber bath mat in her crate to absorb more of the water off her legs and tummy. I do wish this coat had a piece that would come up between her front legs to dry her more thoroughly in that area. I might use another piece of microfiber towel and sew it on myself.
