Love my iRocker Sport SUP!!!
The iRocker Sport is my first paddle board purchase, and I couldn't be happier with it!! I took it out for the first time this week and it exceeded my expectations. I've just started paddle boarding and used a couple other paddle boards that belonged to friends. The boards I borrowed were either undersized (10.5', 30", 4") for me (5'-10", 175lbs) which made it unstable, or over-sized (11.5', 34", 4") which where bulky and heavy. The iRocker Sport (11', 32", 6") is perfect for me and exactly what I've been looking for. It was very stable on the water and more maneuverable that the other boards and this board is much faster too!! I was also impressed with how rigid this board is. I initially pumped it up to about 10-11 psi the first day I got it and let it sit overnight. Even at 11 psi, the board was solid! The next day, I inflated it to 14-15 psi and took it out on the water. It was much stiffer than I expected and it worked perfectly. I wasn't sure that I wanted a 6" thick board, since I've only been using 4" boards and I thought the 6" board would be too bulky. But the board is not bulky at all and the rigidity is amazing!!A couple comments about concerns I had....... First of all, I didn't want a white board. I was concerned with how hard is it to keep clean and keep it from getting marks on it. However, this board looks amazing! I love the silver stripes on the white, and the design of the graphics. One thing I have noticed is some of the silver has rubbed through in shipping and I assume that might happen to more of the stripes. I read in another review where the blue boards do the same thing. Other than cosmetics, this isn't a big deal and doesn't hurt the performance of the board.I also wanted a lighter carbon fiber or fiberglass paddle instead of an aluminum one. However, the iRocker Sport Package only comes with an aluminum 3 piece paddle. But after using it, this aluminum paddle is fairly light. I also figure it may be more durable that a fiberglass paddle and less prone to break if traveling with the board. One of the reasons I got an inflatable was to take the board with me. I work overseas, and plan to take this board on the plane as checked luggage. I think with the aluminum paddle, there might be less of a chance it might get broken. I was also impressed that the paddle is stiff, especially at the joints/sections. I thought it might have play where the sections are put together. But this paddle is very well constructed and solid. We'll see how it is over time, and I will probably eventually get a fiber glass paddle as a spare or second rider.Which brings me to the storage/travel bag. I wanted to get the premium bag that comes with the all around boards, because it is probably more durable that the one with this package. However, once I saw the carry bag, I was impressed that its a better quality than I expected. Its defiantly durable enough to store the board, put it in the truck of your car or truck, or carry it on a hike. I think it would handle a couple airline trips, but not many. I plan to either put it in a big suitcase or purchase a roller bag for continued air travel. Airlines really destroy luggage. The last concern I have is about the fin. The Sport Board has three fins, one detachable. The two that are not detachable are very durable and made of a thick rubber. I have no concerns that they will withstand most regular use. The detachable fin though is thin. I noticed when I attached the fin and set the board on the ground, the surface wasn't level, the weight of the board caused the fin to bow a little. Most fins on other boards seemed to be a bit thicker, and more durable. But I would assume, the thinner fin helps with the speed of the board. So, we'll see over time, how well this fin holds up. You just have to be careful with it I guess. The pump works well and I like the duel action. It speeds the initial inflation of the board and is easy to convert to a single action for the last 2-4 lbs.Other than those few minor concerns, I am very happy with the board, and the service I've gotten so far from iRocker. I did call iRocker before I purchased the board, to see if I could get a fiber glass paddle or premium bag in a Sport package. But as Dave from iRocker explained, their packages are preset and priced. He as well suggested a roller bag for air travel and I figured I wanted a second paddle at some point, so I'll get a fiber glass one.I considered a lot of boards before purchasing the iRocker Sport. After all my research, and visiting the iRocker web site and reading their testimonials, blog and About Us page, I was convinced I made the right choice.

Solid Customer Service
I was going to hold off on this review until my purchase and return experiences were completed, but I will update everyone as to my return experience once it is wrapped up.First off, this board is very well made and attractive. I have used a couple of hard boards and my girlfriend has an inflatable in a similar price range that I have used as well. I can use her board for comparison as many beginners probably have both of these boards on their short lists.Comparing to Ten Toes Weekender, I will start with the listed width of 30 inches. This is a bit misleading as the TT board is 30 inches for almost the entire length of the board, wheareas the iRocker is 30 in the center and tapers in the front and rear. Because of this, my girlfriend and I felt that the TT board felt more stable and less "tippy" than the iRocker. That being said, the iRocker is by no means unstable. I would say comparatively between the two, the learning curve is just a little higher with the iRocker and that it is closer to intermediate than beginner. Maybe "athletic beginner"?The finish, construction and materials between the boards I would say are the same. The pumps look identical with the exception of color and painted logos. Both came with a patch kit and valve wrench as well. However, the iRocker comes with a backpack, which is functional and the paddle that came with the iRocker was much better built than the TT paddle. It is a little heavier, but showed to be sturdier in the four times we went out.My girlfriend and I have taken turns at length on each board and we agree on the following: The TT board is more stable. The iRocker glides faster, smoother and with less effort. They are similar in tracking. The iRocker is more rigid. They are equally stylish and attractive. The iRocker is a little easier to maneuver and seems more responsive. I let a paddle board instructor take a ride and he termed the board very "playful".I want to point out that I am in the process of returning the iRocker for no other reason than it simply was not what I wanted for my particular situation; ie, more stability for myself and our five children as beginners. Had I been willing to learn thru the higher curve, I would have surely kept the board.I believe that one of the most important aspects of any company is customer service. There has been a snag in the return process thus far(the wrong return address was listed on Amazon), however, iRocker has always picked up the phone and been very responsive and kind in dealing with the situation and I think that their stellar customer service has been pointed out numerous times in reviews online. In closing, if I was on the fence between two or three boards, I would definitely give the iRocker a buy. They have a 30 day return policy to try it out and as I said previously, they have been very responsive to my return. For an entry level board at this price point, I don't think you have anything to lose. I will update this review when the return has been finalized.UPDATE: Refund went through without issues. Customer service was great during the entire process.

It doesn't perform as well in the water but is a much more stable platform for beginners and is overall a good quality and value for money package
Had its first outing today in moderate sea conditions. As a previous paddler of longer and wider hard boards I initially thought I had made a mistake buying this particular board! That said, a bit of perseverance and I soon got to grips with its dynamics and performance. You can't fault the quality of the whole package but all I would say is there are easier and cheaper boards on offer for novice paddlers!! Look at the Itwit 10'7" from decathlon. It doesn't perform as well in the water but is a much more stable platform for beginners and is overall a good quality and value for money package.
