I purchased these goggles for a Doctor Horrible costume. Upon painting them silver they looked nearly identical to Doctor Horrible's goggles in the movie, and I received lots of compliments. However, the strap, which was flimsy to begin with, had snapped earlier in the day, it needed to be taped on. After taping it (which took all of a few seconds) the strap stayed in place, so I suppose that you're definitely getting what you paid for with a pair like this. On the plus side, the goggles were very comfortable -I hardly noticed they were there after a while!As far as actual welding is concerned, I have no idea whether this would be a good make for you.

Worked perfectly for Halloween costume. There was an edge that dug into my forehead. I tried to put tape over it, but it still was uncomfortable.

If you're buying these from ToolUSA, be aware they may send completely different goggles that look nothing like Dr. Horrible goggles, then give you the runaround on returning them. Since the goggles I received are useless for a Dr. Horrible costume, and that is specifically listed as one of the selling points for these goggles, they get one star.

Cheap quality. Poor fit. Total waste of my money. Bought 2 of these. Broke the first pair within 5 minutes.
