H&B makes awesome throwing hawks! I've had one of these and one of their throwing knives for 15 years, since I was a pup. These balance well, they've got good weight, and they've got enough carbon in the steel to hold an edge. Don't let the price scare you. The blades hold up well . . . But they don't like being accidently thrown into your knife's blade. . . oops. And they sell replacement handles for real cheap because you'll eventually need one if you throw a lot. They've also got a wicked sheath with a belt loop that's built like a hoss! So if you find that Xytel (aka plastic) and cnc 440 cold rolled aren't for you, this is the place. These guys hand make their stuff with real coal-fired forges (unless they've switched to gas). Get in contact with them, they used to travel and do re-enactment events, they may be coming close to you.
