Does this come with a tamper?

Vitamix web site for the same model comes with the tamper. I have checked other stores and it and the all come comewith Tampers. I can't guarantee this true for Amazon. In 2017 i moved and 2 tempers walked away during my move. I needed to replace a container that was dropped and mentioned to vitamix that I had lost 2 tempers Vitamix replaced both tempers. It may be due to the fact the container i dropped on cement had broken. So much for making drinks out doors..

Can I put iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, celery, cucumber as ingredients to chop or make a smoothie? My teeth will be out of commission for 6 wks

I don’t see why not, if that’s what you want in your smoothies. You might need to cut some me of the larger pieces before putting them in, like the ribs of the romaine.

Trying to whip up an evoo vinagrette with this blender (like my old oster) and failing. stays runny. advice?

The only guaranteed ways to ensure that you can reach a stable emulsion is to either: a) use the smaller 32 oz blender top, b) pour the oil into the blender slower, or c) add an emulsifier to the recipe (my personal favorite) like mustard. Dijon mustard, even in a small amount, can not only make it easier to achieve a smooth emulsion, but also to keep it for weeks to come in the fridge. This is exactly the way we did it when I worked at the Ritz-Carlton and it was foolproof.

I need to know what all it comes with. In one section it says; the base, blender, cook book and low profile tamper? Does it come with it all?

Yes, it came with everything described. The push stick/temper, recipe book and the manual too. It’s the best blender I ever owned. Hope this helps.
