I'm in my mid 60's and retired. I am olive skinned with a salt & pepper short pixie cut.I don't wear much makeup but I do feel like I need to do a little every morning - - if not for any other reason but that it just makes me feel a little more put together - - - even if I am just running out the the market.I don't do much and definitely don't spend a lot of time - - - some sunscreen moisturizer, a bit of liner, mascara, blush and lip gloss every morning.I just tried this eyeliner pencil in the deep charcoal and I love it.I will say that the first time I applied it, I was shocked at how dark it was. I got the dark charcoal and it looked jet black. The main reason for this is that I was used to using a regular pencil as a liner and didn't realize how soft and silky this Laura Geller pencil was. Using the same pressure with this that I used to use with a normal pencil caused the over application.I wiped it off and tried again using a much lighter touch. Perfect.I will say that although this is a soft pencil and not a liquid liner, it does seem to dry and set after a bit. If I line one eye, line the other one then go back to smudge the first one, the liner doesn't smudge very easily as it seems to have set and doesn't allow for very easy smudging or blending. I've developed a new routine now and I line one eye then smudge that one before going onto the other.I tried using both my finger and a stiff brush to blend. I personally prefer using the stiff brush because it gives me a little more control, but either blending method work well. I've actually started swiping the brush across the tip of this pencil, then applying it directly using the brush itself.I guess in a way, the fact that this liner seems to "set" is a good thing because even my light application lasts all day long without melting away or fading.I haven't tested it's actual waterproof-ness by going for a swim yet, but it does seem to stay put even after a run and a workout.I'm going to order another one in a shade of brown too.I am using this in San Francisco where the weather is cool. We spend half the year in Hawaii though, and though it takes an even lighter hand when applying (because the warm weather makes the pencil even softer) I'm happy to report that they hold up in that warmer and more humid climate just as well.

This product is perfect for my mature skin. It goes on even and smooth and stay on all day. I love it.

This product was just OK. I really like a lot of the Laura Geller stuff, but I really did not care much for this liner. It just seemed thick and not as easy to use as I prefer. Again, a lot of her products are really wonderful. I just did not care for this one as much as the others.

Love the color and it stays on !! Easy to apply.

This pencil is the best it goes on great, last a very long time, cane quickly and its priced right..I am already ordering another one just in case they run out if stock .. get it you wont be different.

I would rate this as an average product. It was over, exaggerated regarding how it glides on.. You still have to pull your eyelid taught or it will skip along your eyelid. I have oily eyelids and was pleasantly surprised that it did not migrate down below, my eye, but on the top lid it did.

I love these. Such beautiful hues.. easy going on and satiny smooth.

I like her products and like the softness of this liner however I don't care for the sharpener, and you can use it as a shadow too.
