Parapsychology: The Science of Unusual Experience 1st Edition

Book was well written with a lot of research material. It contained a lot of knowledge for research to write for my Doctorate Degree in Parapsychology.

Anyone with an interest in the paranormal, either as a true believer or, like myself, a confirmed sceptic will benefit from reading this interesting, informative and well-written book. In the first part, the authors' provide a useful and easily followed introduction to the mathematics of probability and co-incidence with an excellent chapter on the placebo effect. The second part examines the psychology of the psychic fraud and astrology while in part three there are chapters on 'alien abductions', near-death experiences, dreams, meditation, paranormal cognition and society and the paranormal. For me one of the most interesting chapters in this section dealt with Unconscious Awareness. A great guide to any readers interested in learning more about the science of paranormal research it should be essential reading for all students of psychology.
