Mobi KoKo Headphonies Designer Micro Portable Speakers

Available for a highly affordable $10.99, the Mobi Headphonies packs some highly satisfying sound in a small package. A good alternative for the Apple mini-portable speakers (sometimes called keychain speakers) that can easily cost twice as much.I didn't expect much from a mini-speaker--especially not one shaped like a toy and only a little over two inches tall---but I was pleasantly surprised. Cute and light-weight Mobi headphonies produce surprisingly loud, clear sound that at max volume can be heard clearly from twenty and even thirty feet away. However, given it's small stature and classification as a portable speaker, the Mobi does not carry the full potency of sound one might expect from a stereo or non-portable speakers, and a mostly quiet enviornment is needed to truly appreciate the sound. Still, the Mobi preforms satisfyingly well when presented with background noise like that of an air conditioner, the shower, and even the television.I've found few downfalls in my Mobi Headphonies Speaker. As others have commented the automatic sensing feature does cause the speaker to turn off when the volume is low; however I found that the volume had to be barely audible before mine turned off; obviously this is not something intended for those who wish to listen to very soft music.The design also scratches and chips easily. Even with minimal handling I've found my Mobi to have scuffs in it's design that takes away from its cute, aesthetic value.

This item sucked, both times. I ordered one and and thought I got a lemon. It wouldn't hold it's charge or play for more than 30 seconds attached to my ipod. I tried several different ipods, cords, etc. I charged it for hours. It was a dud. So I returned it through Amazon.com's excellent return policy & received a new one a week later. Same thing. This item is so cute and I was so exticted to receive at first but both items crapped out on me immediately. I never got a chance to enjoy it & sent both back. Pending refund. I heard the plain black Headphonie has an on/off switch which might help. The Skully does not have this feature. I wih they would fix them, I really wanted to have this item. The sound was ok. Oh, and another thing that made me mad was the price dropped by $10 the day after I bought mine on Amazon.com. If anyone has any positive experience with these products, please share, or if you know if/when they plan to fix & improve this product, I would take a chance & order another one.

My Skully is really cute. I get lots of compliments on him. The sound quality is definately good considering its coming from a tiny unit like this. It charges quickly and holds its charge for about 4 hours just like the item info said. My issue with it is that it cuts out. It has no volume control, your volume comes from the device its connected too and the unit is supposed to automatically shut down if there is no music. I've found that my Skully doesn't seem to think that there is music playing unless my Zune's volume is at 10 or above and will therefore shut down if I turn the volume down. If you're trying to use this product to keep your music portable in a quiet setting this isn't going to work out well, the volume it requires to keep going is a bit loud to be considered background noise or quiet music. But if you just want to tote your music around and don't care who else hears it then it works perfectly.

alright i just recenlty purchased this about a few days ago.. and it was pretty cool.. let me get straight to the point after using for about two days it started to go bad.. it was very statisflying in the beginning i was very pleased. After i left the device on the charger after it had died it refused to project any of the songs on my ipod. Alright, i thought it was laggy or something but whatever after charging for an hour or two the next day it still wasn't working. At this point i am a very unstastified customer and DO NOT recommend this purchase to anyone because it obviously still defective. It's pretty much like a stuck up blonde, may be pretty on the outside but sure as hell crappy in the inside.

Decent sound quality, a lack of a manual and no buttons. That pretty much sums up this thing. It looks cute, but the volume is on par with the max on an iPod Touch, pretty much making it useless. When set to "max", the volume cuts in and out and the red LED starts flashing. I'm guessing this is more a safety issue than anything else, to keep the volume down.Cute and fun to give away, but not worth more then ten bucks.

I love my little guy it is extremely cute and light which is why I was so surprised by the sound. The sound is very clear and loud, other people have told me theyre will start breaking up after a while but mine hasent yet the battery power is great about 3 hrs however, it does not alert you when the batery is dying. Overall great item for 20 bucks!

This was exactly what I was looking for to listen to my ipod at work. Perfectly small enough to fit right on my desk and Uber cute. I loved it- the first day i got it I charged it with the USB cable it came with and jammed all day, the sound quality was very good for the size and price. But the next day I charged it and it just stopped working right in the middle of a song. I tried to recharge it but nothing.. I called the manufacturer, sent them a copy of my receipt and have still not received my replacement. I didn't expect it to work for ever but I certainly expected it to last more than 24 hours. If it was just a lemon, it would have been nice if the manufacturer was true to their word and sent my my replacement already.

I purchased this unit a fw months ago and have been very happy with its performance. The sound quality is excellent for such a small speaker. I also like that its rechargeable, once the battery runs out (lasts about 4-6 hours depending on volume) I can recharge it in one hour. I was very surprised by the great sound quality as I have owned a few portable speakers and their sound is always a little muffled. This unit is perfect for IPOD. I highly recommend it.

Ich finde meinen Headphonie toll, muss aber leider sagen, dass er Macken hat. Wenn ein Handy in der Nähe ist, gibt es ein nerviges, lautes Störgeräusch. Wenn die Batterie langsam nachlässt, stottert die Musik. Und die Haltedauer ist max. 1 h.

Im November des letzten Jahres habe ich einen neuen Mini-Lautsprecher für meinen I-Pod gesucht.Wichtig für mich waren folgende Punkte:1. Kabel sollte austauschbar und wen nötig ersetzbar sein!2. Keine extra Batterie, möglichst mit Akku der über USB aufladbar ist3. Guter Klang4. Mindestens 6h Akkulaufzeit5. Nettes StylingZu Punkt 1:Das Kabel das den headphonie mit meinem I-Pod verbindet kann ich mein 3,5mm Klinkenkabel einstöpseln und den Lautsprecher so platzieren das der Lautsprecher gut sichtbar oder gut versteckt steht. Ich habe mehr Bewegungsfreiheit beim Bedienen des I-Pod und wen das Kabel doch mal Schaden nimmt kann ich es schnell und vor allem auch preiswert austauschen. Es ist immer wieder ein Hingucker, wenn jemand beobachtet wo das Kabel "eingesteckt" wird.Zu Punkt 2:Mehrere Mini-Lautsprecher waren nur mit extra Batterien zu betreiben. Das finde ich furchtbar, da ich von meinem Mobi, den ich vorher hatte, schon verwöhnt war. Für mich kam nur noch ein Lautsprecher mit Akku in Frage. Das Aufladen erfolgt einfach über ein spezielles Kabel für den USB-Eingang am Computer und einen Stecker für den headphonie.Das Aufladen über meinen Computer geht schnell und innerhalb von 1h ist der Akku wieder voll. (Nett gemacht: das Anzeigelämpchen ist genau über der Herzgegend Akku voll-grün/ Akku lädt oder Akku im Einsatz - rot)Zu Punkt 3Der Kleine ist eine WUCHT. Gut eine Stereoanlage klingt natürlich besser, doch für meine Schreibtisch-,Küchen- und Badbeschallung mit Musik und mit Hörbüchern ist er absolut genial. Er kann auch sehr laut sein ohne groß zu dröhnen. Kein Hintergrundrauschen oder andere störende Nebengeräusche. Nachteil: je lauter ich drehe umso schneller ist der Akku leer. Schon komme ichZu Punkt 4Die 6h Akkulaufzeit sind möglich, wenn man bei normaler Zimmerlautstärke etwas hört. So gut 50% Lautstärke beim I-Pod. Sobald es lauter ist geht auch die Akku-Laufzeit runter. Doch das Aufladen geht schnell und dann kann es auch weitergehen.Zu Punkt 5Er sieht auch wie ein kleines Männchen, die unterschiedlichen Designs kann man sich ja bei AMAZON ansehen, der Stecker wird in den Hinter geschoben (immer wieder für einen Lacher gut)und er steht fest auf seinen Füßchen.Er ist einfach ein Hingucker.Fazit:Ich kann diesen Mini-Lautsprechern nur mit dem Wavemaster MOBI- Minilautsprecher vergleichen. Der größte Nachteil ist einfach das die Akkulaufzeit öfter mal nicht ausreicht. Der große Vorteil ist das das Klinkenkabel austauschbar ist. Aus diesem Grund musste ich meinen MOBI auch schon nach 4 Monaten Nutzung wieder zurückschicken- Kabelbruch. Das wird mir mit diesem kleinen Lautsprecher nicht passieren. Das Kabel ist austauschbar. Mittlerweile besitze ich schon 3 unterschiedliche Längen je nach Anlass. So bin ich noch mobiler mit meinem kleinen Lautsprecher. Das Styling ist einfach ein Hingucker, ich habe mich für schwarz entschieden, doch ich kenne aus meinem Kollegenkreis auch die bunteren Versionen. Sie sehen einfach stylisch aus zu einem I-Pod und zaubern auch einem griesgrämigen Menschen schnell mal ein Lächeln auf die Lippen, er ist klein und knuffig.Bis jetzt habe ich den Kauf nicht bereut und wenn der Akku schlapp macht, dann habe ich das Ladekabel immer mit dabei.

Witzige Idee zum verschenken oder selber behalten.Sieht srylisch aus und hat ordentlich Power,was man bei diesem kleinen Männchen garnicht vermuten würde.

Vorteil: Handlich, aufladbarer integrierter Akku, witzige Motive auf den Lautsprechern (möglich), hohe LautstärkeNachteil: muss man sich leisten wollenFazit: Für die Liegewiese ist der Headphonies Lautsprecher absolut in Ordnung
