The Emporium Festive Rudolph Heat Change Mug by pal

Originally when I tested them with hot water, nothing happened. For some reason, it worked just fine when I added hot chocolate. Weird, but glad they work. Very cute.

My nephew loves it, but at 3yo, you don't want to give him something really hot. If you run hot water over the outside of Rudolph's face, the nose will turn red and then you can put the warm chocolate in the mug. Not a fault of the mug, but it's something to think about if you are buying it for a child to use.

Perfect for a 4 yr old

Bought 2 of these mugs for the holidays for hot cocoa. Very cute, but sadly not made well. Color is already coming off the nose and the handle broke off and had to be glued back on. The design is also not great. It’s hard to sip out of because of the smaller opening. For what I paid they were not worth it.

The media could not be loaded.  Received as a gift for Christmas. LOVE IT! Gave one to a friend too! I've hand washed it, and its in good condition. I will put it away for next year soon, but going to use it ONE MORE TIME before then. I love Rudolph, and this mug is PERFECT for Rudolph lovers! Definitely get one.

They did not work

Oops... Shortly after this arrived I cleaned it out and filled it up with a cuppa... YES it did change colour.However I then noticed the colour changing nose had a rather ugly grey plastic film over it, placed VERY unevenly so I therefore assumed it was a protective covering and started to pick a bit off... Turns out this poorly placed plastic film is what changes to black, with the nose actually painted red underneath. It now has a corner of nose that will permanently be red... If this film was placed to fit over the nose better I wouldn't have tried to remove it as it looks wrong on one side. Oops to me, and annoying they couldn't have fitted it better to hide the grey colour changing film.I do love the look of the mug, very fun and I'd still probably order it again! Really easy to drink out of, on both sides. Ears/antlers do NOT get in the way.Edit > my second mug arrived and the nose didn't work! The plastic had holes in so water had got underneath and it jut wouldn't change colour all over and actually came off! Hmmf. At least it's still a nice mug but has lost its quirk.

The nose turns red immediately, cute, so far seems to be good quality as my girlfriend who breaks everything hasn't managed to destroy it :) 1 * minus cause the opening to drink from is too small, though not a major issue.

Acheté pour l'anniversaire de ma sœur. Elle est tombé en amour devant ce petit mug. Je le recommande, il est vraiment adorable ! Et le nez qui devient rouge "fonctionne" très bien.

Bought this for my daughter. It does need very hot drinks to turn the nose red (tea, hot water, coffee etc.), won't work with warm drinks. It is fun and she has enjoyed using it even with cold drinks. Well made.
