Kitty Tube Low Voltage Heated Pet Pad

I purchased 2 of these. I have a kitty tube that my cats decided they weren't going to use this year so I got them a smaller round house. These fit perfectly. They only seem to last one season though. I hope these new ones last longer.

The kitty tube heater is easy to use and warms to just the right amount. However, the pad had a slight electrical burn mark on the bottom through the fabric right away. I covered it with an extra layer of flannel so it wouldn't burn my kitty. Now the pad, cover and flannel pillow case have the brown "burned spot on them on both sides. I applied electrical tape to the areas on both sides of the unit. If there is still a problem, I will throw it away. I don't want my cat getting hurt! Very disappointed. I like the kitty tube but that heater needs work before a cat is injured!

Barely get a full season out of this pad. I ordered one in Jan 2015. I noticed it wasn't working around Jan 2016 . I found other name pads to heat the Kitty Tube. However, they were awkward and I could use them nicely elsewhere. So, I ordered another Kitty Tube Heated Pad Jan 2017. This one is now broke too. It no longer heats up. The power adapter seems fine but the pad doesn't draw any amps even when pet is sitting on it. Great concept and I like the design but terrible quality heater.

This heating pad is great! I have been helping a feral cat thru this winter! The kitty tube,is the best shelter I have used! I don't know why some people said they couldn't get the heating pad cord threw the hole...mine went right threw! Great purchase he loves the heating pad! We got 7 inches of snow last night....finally stopped.....I covered the kitty tube a little bit and turned his pad on he hasn't come out since! Thanks for making such a great shelter!

Product did not last a year. I believe the cord leading into the the pad may have been compromised by something trying to chew the cord. I recommend wrapping extra electrical tape around this area as reinforcement. I have other heated pet products that are cheaper yet have bettercord protection but are rectangular and won't fit in the tube. I took the fabric cover off to wash and noted weather cracks in the vinyl. Really?
