I wanted to watch movies on my iPad while working in the kitchen, but the sound was not loud enough. This is a nifty little solution, you just plug it into your iPad and squeeze to turn it on (it says can be used with a cell phone also, but I haven't tried it.). Yes, it does give considerably more volume. However, I am giving only three stars because 1) the sound quality is not what I had hoped for; and 2) the unit sticks straight in to the iPad, just like sticking a straight pin into the jack. This leaves the speaker sticking straight out with nothing to support, ok if the iPad is laying flat, but quite unsteady if I put the I-Pad onto its stand or propped up in any way. Reasonable price.

I received this little speaker in the mail today and immediately plugged it in to my USB charger. The red charging light came on and when I checked about an hour later, the light was off indicating that the charge was full. Then came the real test. I pressed the only button on the device and the blue light came on indicating that the device was turned on. I then plugged it into the headphone port of my laptop. I selected a music track with some good bass notes and started it up. I was immediately pleased and surprised at how well this tiny device reproduced bass notes. I had sort of expected to hear something similar to what you hear from a traditional tiny audio speaker. I was wrong. This device reproduces music very accurately and is quite acceptable for personal music playing.I can't speak to battery life or device durability, but if it holds up, it is an amazing little device for a very low price. I love it when things do that they claim....

Just recieved this little gem in the mail! I took the time to charge it before using it. The unit charged in 2 hrs and has been running non stop for the past 4 hrs. I purchased this speaker based on the reviews, cost and overall look. The internal speaker on my tablet finally died, so i needed something small but better that what my tablet had. This little unit has not dissapointed me, it filled the kitchen with good sound as i played music thru Spotify and made dinner for the family. Sound quality, the best setting for this speaker is mid to 3/4 of your sound settings. Good audio quality for diffrent types of music, rock, jazz, metal. I am happy with the quality and the construction of the unit. Will add more updates in the next few weeks,.Pros: good quality, value and sound.Cons: Supplier needs to have english instructions included, for basic use and care of unit.

The things the (extremely limited) instructions won't tell you:1. the LED indicator is right next to the USB port2. charge fully before using (red LED while charging, may take a few seconds to light up on first use, turns off when fully charged)I LOVE this little thing! We're not allowed to use headphones at work for safety reasons, but we can listen to music, so I paired this little speaker with my mp3 player, and it's a perfect combo. It's got a surprising amount of bass for something so small, and a great play-time: charge-time ratio (~1hr charge = ~8hr play). Highly recommend!

Mom wanted something so she could play music off her Fire tablet during her weekly study group at the elderly care center. This works great for her. She was a bit confused at first about where the power button is (she dented the front shiny side a bit with her fingernail trying to use it as the on/off button instead of the black button on the back which she thought was the speaker itself). Now she's got that sorted, it's plug and play easy for her.There are few instructions in English which may intimidate some as it did her. Charge it up using the included USB cable and an active computer (there's a tiny red light on top that shows while it charges & shuts off when the charging is done) and then plug it into the headphone jack of your tablet. She charges it after each use so it's ready to go the next time. Because she only uses for part of the hour, I can't comment on how long a charge will last.

This is really an amazing little speaker. Sometimes I don't want to go through the hassle of attaching to bluetooth, re-pairing, video and audio out of sync, etc, and I'm not interested in rocking the house. I just want a little more volume than my device is capable of putting out with internal speakers when I'm watching or listening to something in bed at end of day. This little gem fills the prescription admirably. Just plug it in, and turn it on. The sound is crisp, and clear. So far, it's held a charge just fine (several days in fact). Highly recommended for those who just want a simple, inexpensive alternative to external sound from their tablet, phone, etc. I used it successfully with both my iPad, iPhone, and Android tablet.

I like to set my phone up on a tabletop stand and listen to podcasts, youtube videos, etc. But my LG phone has a piss-poor speaker with high pitch. This little number plugs right into the phone's speaker jack, and improves the sound quality enormously. The phone volumn controls the loudness, which isn't especially loud, but sufficient to hear across a small room. The unit is light weight and doesn't put stress on the phone. The back of it is a button for on & off. A charge lasts for a few hours of use. It comes with a cute little protective bag-case. Downside is I am not sure of its durability: it's light weight, inexpensive, probably won't survive a drop. So I have to be careful with it.
