Red Satin 2 1/2 Bow Tie

I will start by saying that I have to extend it as much as possible to get it on my non fitted XLT dress shirt. My neck is 17.5 inches so I would guess the shirts collar is around 18.5 inches. It certainly isn't the 23.5 inches the description claims. So If you have a very large neck, this isn't the tie for you. One nice thing about this pre tied bow tie is the fact that the bow isn't sewn to the neck strap so you can put the clasp where ever you want. I prefer it to clasp in back with collard shirts but with shirts with small or no collars you could slide the clasp under the bow itself. So all in all, for a 5 dollar tie, pretty darn good. I will try to take a better photo of it as the picture isn't great. As the other reviewer stated, it is much brighter red and much more shiny.

I'm a ballroom dancer and my partner who owns his own tuxedo needed a red bow tie for a quick step number we were doing with a formation team. It's fine as a costume accessory but I wouldn't wear it to a formal dinner. However, it was the best price and totally fit our needs. The other five guys on the dance team followed suit.

This was purchased for a groom and looked superb on him. Has a nice shine and a clip around, so it doesn't have to be tied from scratch (comes tied already). It has a crimson colour and was bought from Tieguys...

I was looking for a red bow tie for my Mary Poppins costume for Halloween. This one worked great, it is well made and looks very nice on.

Purchased for my son who is an avid Doctor Who fan. It is a perfect dress up item. He loves it and uses it all the time. It is nice quality and could be used for formal purposes as well.

I bought this because I'm planning to be The Doctor on October 17th for a Homecoming Week activity at my Highschool (Class of 2014 woohoo!), and I was expecting it to be too big or too small, but it actually fit quite well.

bought this so i could dress up as mr. peabody for fun, but i found it's much higher quality than the reviews seemed to say it was. don't let them fool you! i got a bright red tie, just as shown - although, still slightly shinier but very high quality!! a good buy, and it'll adjust to fit any neck!
