I have used all the ports with no issues. **Q: will this docking station support 3 external monitors?** A: No only two via mini DisplayPort, which is super flakey at best. The newer model at least uses dual USB-C which is an improvement, but it should be just normal HDMI or Displayport. But both models, this one and newer one, only support TWO monitors. **Q: Is this comparable with surface laptop 3? Will it support dual monitors?** A: I use mine for a Surface Pro 5 and I use it for dual monitors.
