TLDR: This is a great, sturdy bed that’s nice to look at! Assembly is easy (in theory...), but some problems with the screw holes made it more difficult. This is absolutely worth the money if you’re willing to put in a tiny bit of elbow grease!Pros:-This is a really sturdy frame! I’ve only been sleeping on it for a few days, but I really enjoy it!-The “bronze” option is a really matte, slightly textured metal, and doesn’t feel cheap or look bad at all.-There’s no squeaking, shaking, or anything. I paired it with a new, thick mattress (also on the cheaper side and it’s wonderful!-The fact that you can choose to have it as a low or high bed is really nice. You can also disassemble it easily to change the height/transport it- in the assembly kit, you receive tools to use, and extras! You technically don’t need any tools of your own to assemble it.Con(s):The assembly was... another story. The manual itself, the availability of help lines, that was all great! It would’ve been a really easy assemble in theory, easy enough to do yourself, but there were several problems with the actual screw holes. I think some just weren’t threaded correctly, or they were messily done, but the screws just ran into so many snags, no matter how many times I adjusted.I cleaned out the holes, made sure the threads lined up as best they could, quadruple checked I was doing it right... eventually, for one pesky one, I used a plastic wall plug paired with a *slightly* smaller screw to keep it sturdy/true to the original build. It also helped to hammer the sides of the frame very slightly when I was having aligning problems.This really all just comes down to the fact that it’s metal- it’s sturdy, it’s not built to be altered. That has its ups and downs!Obviously, I could have contacted the seller, they gave really good resources to do so. It was just frustrating that there were structural errors that were making (what should have been) an easy process into a more difficult one. If you have mobility or strength problems, or get frustrated, ask for help!!A note: if you like the frame, or like a taller baseboard, I’d suggest getting a mattress that’s like. Ten inches tall? Mine is 13, and it doesn’t leave much of the baseboard exposed. The headboard is fine though!I’ll update if I run into any more problems!

A very tight squeeze for blankets, spreads, and other bedding at the foot, but a nice Victorian style without being too ornate for contemporary interiors. I was not too fond of the dark cast iron finish, so I painted mine with Rustoleum (I think) reflective gold spray paint — which was nice, but didn't as long as I would have liked.

Just got this bed today for mt daughter's room. Had it assembled, bed made and everything in an hour (2 people for frame, one for slats) I read a previous review about the plastic clips that worried me a bit, but they're just there to keep the slats locked in and I had no problem with them. I had to force the the first two slats a little bit on either end to get them locked, but once they were in, the rest was a breeze. The bed looks absolutely adorable for a child's room, now we'll have to see how it holds up to a wild child 5 year old. I will update after 6 months.

Most of the time, you get what you pay for... and this is priced low. However, it fit the bill and surpassed our expectations. This bed is being used in our home as a guest bed, so I cannot comment on long-time durability but it feels extremely solid. Since it's a platform bed, no box spring is needed (saves more money!) The finish of the bronze is matte and won't show scratches/knicks easily. It's exactly as pictured, was relatively easy to assemble in about 30 minutes (if you just read and follow the directions.) We couldn't be happier with the product!

Lots of instructions for assembly but definitely required two people. Thought there were certainly parts where you needed to keep everything loosely aligned/screwed to make sure the next part would go in - or if you tightened as you went things would never fit in. Happy with how it came out and liked that there were two heights possible - went with the taller height to give me storage underneath!
