I bought this for archery/3D ... for that, it's not perfect, but close
I bought this for archery/3D ... for that, it's not perfect, but closethere's two pockets covering like 170° of each side, and the pockets are seen/felt from inside the pouch (kinda like a pair of jeans).the pockets are very large, and wide, so anything tall tends to kinda fall over on its side. for chalk, I'm sure this is wonderful. if they wanted to sell a few million of these to archers, they could make the inside of the pockets nylon, and use stitching for varying sizes of slots in those pockets, and maybe insert a "sock" like most other chalk bags (for the water bottle, for archers). that'd be pretty perfect.but, as it is, for archery, pretty much nothing else can touch it. and I'm sure it's pretty slick for chalk, too.

Great chalk bag
The ring system is a significant improvement over a chalk bag and a definite improvement over loose chalk. It's a bit tricky to fill without making a huge mess, so have a spoon or similar implement around when you want to fill it.

Loved it
I bought this chalk bag for my husband and he loved it. His whole hand fits in the bag, and even though it is a bit messy to add the chalk in, it has worked well. The zipper is a bit hard to open and close, but I guess usage will loose it.

Excellent Concept / Could Use Improvement
Have used the product for around 2-3 months now.When the chalk bag is full, you get quite a great even coat of chalk on your hand as expected when squeezing the side walls!I do have a couple negative points to be fair. it is hard to fill the side chalk compartments. Requires extra time and creates a small mess even when being quite careful and creative as filling. Additionally, as the chalk bag reaches full capacity, it gets harder to fill. Another issue, as the chalk starts to run low, the performance of squeezing the side wall decreases. The chalk does not come out as much, and is not as even. The two problems work together unfortunately.Overall, I have enjoyed the experience of owning this bag. For the inconveniences, I would not pay $50 plus for this product. If the problems were remedied or the price was in the $30-$40 range, I would likely give this product 5 stars. When the bag is full, it is honestly great to climb with!

Lost first one, bought it again!
I bought this Chalk Bag during their Kickstarter Kampagne. Since my first one got stolen [for a reason ;)] I bought this one on Amazon again.You put your Chalk not directly into the bag, but into the compartments on the side. Which are closing with a zipper. The great thing about it is, that your chalk doesn't fly around anymore. Aspecially when your are in a climbing gym bouldering. On the inside you get to chalk your hand all the way around and you only get a layer of chalk and not a hole chunk.
