The cover is soft and looks amazing and takes a real beating if you carry it. The paper feels good for writing and soaks up ink fast, even with thick ink (though it can leak thru if you use gel pen or heavier inks for fountain pens). I bought one and filled it from cover to cover and now I’ve nearly filled up another and on to the third. Perfect little journal!
