Four and a half stars - Great chair for travel and camp
This is my second Larry chair, As I have had one that is my back of the car, go anywhere, goes everywhere chair. I've used it for Scout camp, the beach, the cabin and everything in between. It has burn holes from camp fire hots in the seat mesh and they do not run through the fabric. But now I'm older... the new Larry chair has an upper reinforcement on the seat back posts that are a great addition in strength and comfort of the seat backs. But it does sit low and if you have youthful bounce in your step, or gifted to be genetically trim, getting out of the 10" high seat isn't a problem...but for a 56 year old sway-backed Gorilla with knees past their prime, there are good days and others not making getting up a little tough. Wish there was a 4"-6" height extension designed in, or making accessory legs available to get the set a little higher would be a jumbo bonus. I'll keep my 4"x4" board pieces with me until that time.I still love this chair. I is about the size and thickness of a laptop case and stores very compactly in my car. Also, the carry case will also hold a beach towel, a couple bottles of water, some tanning butter and a book.

Larry Chair rules!
After trying out the many zigzaggy-leg sling/camp chairs so prevalent in every sporting goods store, and not finding anything more comfortable than the ones we had like them in the garage, I found the Larry Chair!I wanted a sturdy-feeling seat--NOT a sling-like seat that makes you sit all hunchy, being able to eat/balance a plate while sitting in it, lightweight, folds down small, and is comfy. Larry Chair fits the bill. I thought the beach-chair-height would feel too low, but it is just right without feeling like you might as well sit on the ground. It also goes great with a small portable side table we already had.The folding parts are easy to use without pinching fingers in the pieces that snap the seat open and closed; just a gentle push and it is very manageable. We found it easier to keep the back folded down while opening and securing the "legs". When the back was open the chair went slightly wonky--you'll understand if you try to open the legs with the back extended. And it even comes with a nice bag, about the size of a soft briefcase, to store it in. Bag has a handle and an adjustable strap. And how often can you call your chair by a name?!At first I thought it was a little expensive for a low portable chair, but we have gone through so many of the cheap camp chairs--torn out grommets, rivets broken, fabric fraying, the lame arm rests, cup holders on a slant--who the heck wants to buy more cheapo ones of those when a couple of these is all we need.

Nice Chair, but heavy and Rusting after 2 days
The chair is great, but for the outdoors it stinks. Took it to the lake beach area. Noticed by the second day the pins all rusted out, Not impressed with that. Makes me wonder what else is going to rest. Did not even get it wet or anything. Just very surprised considering the expensive price. Also, it is a heavy chair but comfortable. Not sure if it is built to last.

Turned out to be an awesome yak chair
Awesome chair for my sit on top yak (see photo). Wish it came with straps but it's not it's intended purpose so I'm not faulting them. Zip ties and old straps will do.

Portable and easy to use
Love my Larry chair. Easy to use on my SUP and also take it to concerts on the lawn. Love it. Comfortable to lean back on when on the lawn. Goes from my kakak to my stand up paddle board to lawn chair. Stores small and light.

Great Versatile chair.
These are very versatile chairs. To the beach, campfire or sporting event. I strap mine to my paddle board as a comfortable seat when I need a break from standing. The arm less design makes it easy to paddle or fish while sitting. The fold up design and carry bag make it easy to leave in your truck or car for when needed.

Great chair for guitarists
I bought the Larry chair to give me a comfy spot to play acoustic quitar. It does that very well, and it's overall really comfy for general use. Only sits a half foot off the ground, but it's a great camp chair. Briefcase size when folded up, nice.

Defective Unit / Poor QA
The one I got doesn't have the crossbar underneath - it looks like it got ripped off at some point.... really?? No crossbar means it doesn't stay open.

A working chair would get 5 stars.
The chair is nice. Appears to be well built and durable. That was until it broke after my 5th time taking it to a BBQ. The backrest is what broke so the chair is still salvageable but if I wanted a salvageable/cheap chair I would have bought one of those $15 ones at the beer store. For the price it is not worth the risk to buy again. I am 6 foot 200 pounds. A working chair would get 5 stars.

I like the compactness but it is heavy to carry around ...
I like the compactness but it is heavy to carry around and sit up isn't easy. The legs are stiff and putting it away is also hard.

Larry Chair
I received 2 of these chairs and intend to get a fair amount of use out of them. Easy to set up, compact enough to take on motorcycle trips and definitely comfortable for sitting on while camping. Only disappointment was the carry bag is not as described in the add. Its just a cheap cloth sack with no handles for carrying. If the carry bag was better I definitely would have given a higher rating just for purpose of transporting.

Strong and portable
Bought it for kayak camping. Seems small enough, and strong enough to do the job.

Great for motorcycle
Folds up small enough to fit bike saddlebags. Easy to open and refold. I have wanted a chair this size for years. Thanks Travelchair.
