White Label 2TB 8MB Cache 7200RPM SATA300 3.5inch drive
Ordered two White Label 2TB 8MB Cache 7200RPM SATA300 3.5' drives.I benchmarked the 2 drives and compared them to a 1tb WD blue and a 2TB seagate drive. These drives functioned in the range of 120 mb/s to 140 mb/s, which was on par with the two aforementioned hard drives (at a fraction of the price).Seller shipped USPS (which I was leary of at first) but the package arrived in tact within 5 business days. I unboxed the package and discovered that the drives were in fact 64mb cache and SATAIII (score!!!). I can't vouch for the quality of more than my two units, but they function perfectly! Looking for cheap conventional drives for bulk storage? You will want to pick these.Would I take a chance on this drive as a stand-alone drive with no redundancy? Not as much as something with a 3 year warranty that has a WD or seagate logo on it. I would recommend the drives if you have proper redundancy in place. Great seller, great product at a discount price. This seems to be the real deal.

great storage for great value!
I needed storage for games....alot of storage but was tight on cash. This was a great solution and haven't had any issues so far. A bit noisy but it's not all the time and not much of a bother.

Could've tricked me as a WD HDD
I picked this up as a budget option to slide into my old, originally from my childhood, PS2. There's a lot of literature about compatible Hard drives, and people going wayyyy overboard with an SSD (PS2 can't give you SSD speeds since it's on ancient tech). So when I saw this 2TB budget option for something that may not even work, I had to try it out.Crazy thing is, this no name HDD works perfectly in my hacked PS2. 4 out of five stars, just because I can't speak to reliability/durability/longevity yet. I've only had it a couple months

HDD failure noises immediately upon install, failed 48hrs later.
This HDD was a white label, a Western Digital one (WD model prefix). Hooked it up in my CCTV DVR and right off the bat, clicking, clacking and grinding. Ran a SMART test, said some bad sectors but healthy. Hmmm... Left it in the DVR, it kept making those same HDD failure sounds, extremely audible, but SMART was saying it was still okay. 48hrs later, HDD is dead, won't power on 100% of the time and when I can get it to jumpstart, clacks and then shuts right off.Practically DOA and I should've sent it right back as soon as I heard it after the install, but wanted to try it and make sure. So, off it went back to Amazon as defective. Not sure I'd want to buy another one and get the same result twice...

So Far, well, you know..
After reading some of the one star reviews, AND just having had a Toshiba 1t external fail, single digit days after the return window closed, I wanted to be sure I got out in front of this early. Using my usb-sata adapter hooked it up a desktop (by USB), it is a "raw drive", so, not visible in File Explorer yet, so,Computer Management > Disk Management > initialize disk > create simple volume > quick format > done, smooth as glass. no noise. no vibrations. So... write to it... quickly dumped a random pile of video data, about 35GB, on to it. Speed quickly ranged up to around 120-140mbs, (high end of what USB 3.0 is good for), and no noise, no vibrations, Soooo,so far so good. Will update if it goes wonky in 6 weeks.

Bought two, one died during setup.
Bought two of these drives to repair Synology NAS box with failing drive. During the automated RAID repair procedure, the first drive I installed failed as well.Pulled the drive out and inserted the second drive and setup/repair completed without issue.NAS box is running fine with no errors now. Glad I was able to return the failed drive. Only thing I lost was some time but these HDD's are cheap enough that it all works out in the end.I MIGHT take a chance on these white label drives again but in a larger size when I'm ready to add more storage space.
